Best grip strap I eve used.

I've owned the same 2 straps being Zing for years. They are by far in my opinion, the most comfortable camera hand strap I've ever used. Unlike the more expensive leather straps, or the dedicated straps one can purchase with their camera, the Zing hand strap breathes and flexes while maintaining a secure fit. Not to mention that I've been using the same straps for many many years with little wear to them. And believe me, I've put plenty of use on my cameras. One thing to note though, I use full body cameras and have tried to use them on half bodies. The straps on anything but full bodies cameras would not be a recomendation of mine. Ideal usage of these straps is to use them on full bodied or half bodied cameras with vertical grips. If you're looking for the most comfortable, durable and secure hand grip made for your full bodied cameras, Zing is my pick.

Good value but needs some work.

First, I would not recommend this as a gift. You will need to "work with it" and possibly make some modifications to get it set up correctly. Mine came without the bottom screw, which is fine because I suggest you do like me and use a tri-pod quick release mount and attach the QR plate to the bottom to hold the strap on. Then you can move to and from the tri-pod quickly and effortlessly. I really don't see any potential "belt clip" unless they are talking about threading the elastic wrist strap through your belt and then "clipping" the steady strap to it and hanging it of your belt by the wrist strap, which really makes no sense. So, unless the "belt clip" mentioned in the ad was also missing from my package, I just don't see it. I am lucky to have big hands, so I was able to make it fit snug and secure without having to add a hole. I can see where people with small hands complain here they cannot get it snug. You may need to use a red hot steel poker and add/melt a new hole to the bottom strap to get it set up for small hands. I have a Fuji HS20EXR and it was really tough threading the narrow nylon strap through the top/right metal loop. I ended up having to use needle-nose pliers to catch a corner and force/pull it through. So, as a "project" it is a really good product. Once you get it set up, you can have an awesome action strap for the money. But, out of the box, it really needs some work.

Not as bad as it looks

It's probably as good as any I have seen and a real jewel compared to the one Nikon wants $90 for. I think I improved this one by not using the Mickey Mouse screw supplied with the grip. I sandwiched the strap to the bottom of my camera with the quick disconnect plate for my monopod/tripod. The price is right so just ordered a 2nd one for my D90. PS, I reccomend it to a friend considering the low (I assume close out) price.

Works, but only after DIY modification

The strap is strong, but of poor quality. Driving the mounting 1/4in screw through the nylon strap using the provided holes was nearly impossible, and even after carefully enlarging the desired one with an X-Acto blade, it was difficult. The adjustment options on the EOS 7D body that the strap was mounted on, were limited. Unless you have really big hands, it won't be a very tight fit, even completely tightened. Overall the product is purely designed, but works if you don't mind spending the time to modify the imperfections. I have found better equivalent products though, that work straight out of the box with greater flexibility.

I have bought this item again and again

Used on a Canon A1 and Nikon D70s, both heavy cameras. I do not use neck strap as this strap is secure in your hand and will not allow the camera to drop. The camera is always in my hand for immediate use, unlike when on a neck strap.

Zing's unique Action Strap works like the handle-steadying strap found on most camcorders, but is designed specifically for SLR cameras. Wraps around the back of photographer's right hand, holding it snugly to the camera body for fast, steady shooting.
