I agree that this camera is cheaply constructed and my shutter finally froze while off-roading in Hawaii (lava is really craggy, who knew?) But I got a lot of enjoyment out of it and it broke the day after a wedding I went to so I got lucky. With any [*] stuff off the line, some works and some doesn't, but it's all cheap. I couldn't afford the well made bodies so this was a decent alternative. Now I know I want to save up for a better 6x7/6x6. If you already know you like medium format than buy something better.

I tried this camera for an ongoing art project that required lo-fi analog images. So far so good. The first one I tried came apart after 20 rolls shot. The second camera was doing well but after 10 rolls I noticed overexposure on some shots as well as a whole lotta shaking even when used at shutter speeds of 1/125 and 1/300. I had it checked and the shutter is simply non functional. And I really take care of my equipment nontheless its price. So after two cameras broken for no apparent reason, no, I wouldn't recommend this to a friend. Not even to my worst enemy.

I took this to Greece, Turkey, Italy, Alaska, Canada, and many states in between. I'm thrilled I got some really great shots. It's very easy to learn on and it's all manual so no power or computer limiting you on double exposing. The high heat and humidity in the Med caused the grip to peel a bit in places but Super Glue fixed that. A leg broke off and caused a light leak, again Super Glue got that. The leak shots reminded me of my Holga and actually revived my LoFi Art of yesteryear. Due to the cheap price I didn't really worry about carrying this in the open, ready to shoot. People haven't seen a TLR in so long (or ever) so I got some funny reaction candids too. The lens it comes with is fine for most situations. It's not supposed to replace Zeiss but at the price it's fine for me. I should have bought the lens hoods (remember to buy two!) but cardboard adds more character to the LoFi experience. But I took some very nice shots with this, so it's not just for toy cam fans, it's the cheapest way to get into TLRs. Overall I'm very glad I got it. I've taken it all over the world twice now, including Alaska in winter and it just keeps shooting. It needs no power or a month in a padded room to learn it, get out and shoot, I say!

Excellent value for money,the camera breaks the ice with people who are interested in this funny looking camera... The results are good,can enlarge to A3 format.
