About Adorama

There are a number of things to consider when ordering gaffer's tape. First, there are two grades available. The premium is Permacel's Professional Grade. It is thicker, stronger and leaves less residue than the less expensive choices in cloth tapes. Professional Grade is the top choice among film, television and photographic professionals. An economical alternative to the Professional Grade is the Permacel P-665. This is a thinner and less reflective tape. The P-665 is a good choice for people on tight budgets or in warmer climates.

To help you manage the rising price of Professional Grade tape, Barbizon has worked with Permacel to develop two other roll formats. Traditionally, tape has come in 2" x 60 yard rolls. They introdued 2" x 50 yard rolls and 2" x 25 yard rolls. The 50 yard roll will be an economical alternative to the traditional 60 yard roll and the 25 yard roll to be a convenient size for portable kits and location work.

Very useful for location work. Strong grip, yet no residue when removed. Great for securing power cords to just about any surface. Even used it repair groomsman's shoes when cheap soles came apart.

Must have!

If this is something you have never used....your life will be instantly made better by the introduction of Gaffer Tape. It doesn't leave sticky residue and pulls off great. I use it to secure wires, hold cases together, hold up screens, "repair" outfit/costume issues, "mark the spot" on the floor, secure table cloths, bundle supplies together, etc. I go through the large rolls in the studio, but when it gets to be smaller on the roll, I buy another large roll and fold and tuck the small roll into my "location" shoot bags....or my suitcase when I travel.

Does the job.

Used on lens and bodies. Does the job so if you bump into something the tape takes the scratch. Not your gear!

Questions about this item:

Shopper  Why Did You Choose This?
EDWARD L  Good price and it is a good product. Is much stronger than duct tape and not as messy. The matte surface makes it handy to repair torn equipment bags, etc. I use it a lot, but not for simple jobs where the cheaper duct tape is sufficient.
