Version 1.1 improves AF

Panasonic has released a firmware update for the kit lens designed for the Lumix G short-flangeback, Micro Four Thirds format interchangeable lens camera.

Firmware version 1.1 for the Vario 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH MEGA O.I.S lens is said to improve autofocus performance in AFc mode. It also improves AF and stability of the Optical Image Stabilizer while reducing the aperture adjustment noise, making the lens better suited for movies when used with the GH1.
