Late-breaking news from the UK: Due to low sales volume, Fujifilm in the UK has announced that it is discontinuing Fujicolor 800Z in all formats.

In its decision to remove Fujicolor Pro 800Z color negative film from its lineup, Fujifilm explained that it was, simply, not selling enough volume to justify its continued manufacture. "By streamlining our selection of Professional film we can ensure our strong selling lines are protected," notes Russ Gunn, Fujifilm's Product Manager for Professional Film in the UK. The company has a limited supply in stock and expects to run out in November.
Fujicolor Pro800Z is currently available in 35mm, 120, and 220 formats.
According to a Fujifilm UK press release, sales of color negative and transparency films are doing well, and instant film sales have increased, no doubt due to the demise of Polaroid. 800Z might have been considered redundant, given that Fujicolor Press 800 apparently remains in production, and costs half as much as 800Z.
No word yet from Fujifilm USA on the apparent demise of Fujicolor Pro 800Z.
