How'd They Do That?

By Mark Wallace

May 11, 2010

Mark Wallace describes how he shot like a sports photographer to capture images in India from a moving vehicle. Mark used a Canon 1Ds Mark II and a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L lens to document scenes in India.

Photographers are told to never, ever shoot from a moving vehicle. In this episode, Mark shows how to break that rule with impunity and bring home memorable images.

And now, on with the show!

Shooting In India

I live in India and have had a problem that this can partially alleviate. Indian's love to pose for photos, but I prefer candid shots. As a westerner I already stand out, but with a camera all eyes fall on me. I thought the 70-200 would help, but its size just draws more attention. Any suggestions?
