Neat to hear.

Interesting to hear about why he chose the equipment he chose. Neat he has a faith-based desire to work on his stuff.

Yes, this is a fluff piece.

After the list of gear, this piece says almost nothing at all. and that flash generator is a whopping 2700 smackers. the octobox didn't get a mention about what it was for. No showing how he set the lights up for the admittedly stunning portraits. A waste of seven minutes.

How they think

Its always helpful to hear other photographers explain how they approach a project. Insight into their mindset is much more important than f-stops. I disagree with Hugh only in that if you have any experience at all with lighting seeing his setup it is pretty obvious how he shot this.
