Since the launch of AdoramaTV we’ve taught you about Depth of Field, White Balance, Aperture Values and Panning. We want you to take what you’ve learned and make some amazing photos – and then share them with the world. So, we're announcing a photography contest!

The details:
We want you to take photos of people or animals using the techniques we’ve taught. We’re looking for portraits that have shallow Depth of Field, shots were the white balance has been adjusted for great color or shots that use the panning technique to capture someone in motion.
We’re looking for all kinds of people pictures. Portraits, wedding photos, engagement photos, vacation shots, family portraits, models portfolios, actor’s headshots. You get the idea.
Use panning to show animals in motion. Maybe you can get a great shot of your kids playing with your dog. The possibilities are endless – and that’s the fun of this contest. Show us what you can do with Shallow Depth of Field or Panning. Or Both!
This contest is open to everyone, from beginners to advanced photographers. You can use any camera you want. It doesn’t matter. The most important thing is that you get out there and make some pictures.
How to enter:
Once you’ve taken your photo go to Flickr and post it to the AdoramaTV group, Summer Of Fun Contest. That’s all you have to do to enter the contest. You can enter as many photos as you’d like. But the contest ends on July 16th –so don’t wait around, get out there and start shooting! Click here to see the winning images!
The finalists will be determined by our awesome judge: Bryan Peterson. Bryan has been a commercial photographer for over 30 years and he literally wrote the book on photography. He’s the author of one of my favorite books, Understanding Exposure as well as Understanding Digital, Learning to See Creatively and Beyond Portraits. He is also the founder of the Perfect Picture School of Photography, Adorama's online photo school partner site.
