Today the world learned about the Nikon D4, but for Joe McNally, it's been a long-kept secret. Joe and his team had a chance to test the Nikon D4 in a series of real-world situations that allowed him to push the envelope and give the D4's engineers valuable feedback.
Joe McNally unboxes the Nikon D4: "We all stared at it, like it was something that got sent from a sci-fi movie, and if we opened it, we would find the still beating heart of an alien life form."
"The D4 is an entirely new chapter in the history of the pixels," proclaims Joe, who worked with the D4 in the swamps of florida, where his tripod was almost attacked by a large water moccasin, but where he was able to test out the camera. He describes the files as "creamy" and "smooth" and displaying great skin tone. Joe and his crew jumped from Florida to a New York studio, back down to Florida to photograph a circus, then on to New Orleans.Read Joe McNally's blog post to get a pro's eye view of the Nikon D4.
