Ok. Wasn't quite what I expected, however. Good for very short term use only.

Short term Solution

I love the peace of mind that this allows knowing that my work will be protected from power surges and outages. Once I rewired everything (take your time and read the directions) and installed the software, I can now see how much load the battery will carry in the event of an outage and a lot of other useful information. I have three monitors, the computer, and my internet modem plugged into the back up outlets (using one strip extension) and I can see that the wattage fluctuates between 84 up to 100 watts. I can add more up to 420 watts but would rather have the extra battery time to finish my work and shut down. Don't hesitate to protect your computer and work efforts!

Very Pleased

The APC works fine for providing a battery in case of power loss but the software provided to automatically shut down the PC fails to load. An internet search reveals this is a common fault.

All 3 prongs on power plug were bent badly, shipping box was ok so this had to happen at the factory.

Poor QC

I have been using two APC UPSs for years. I saw that APC had a trade in program for my discontinued model and decided to take advantage of it and get new features and improvements. Needless to say, as a longtime customer, I'm very pleased with my new Back-UPS 700 Pro.

Traded in old UPS for new model.

My APC Back-UPS Pro 700 works right out of the box, which is never surprising with your gear. I appreciate providing a way for me to safely dispose of my old UPS and battery safely, and its a gerat way to keep all my equipment protected by APC.

Helps the Customer and Helps the Planet: Way to Go

It arrived with a broken battery door cover. I suspect some rough handling during shipment. The packaging possibly contributed as it is not very protective. The actual damage is purely cosmetic and the unit works fine. I have previously bought several replacement batteries and also upgraded through trade-in. I will continue to purchase APC UPS items from this company.

APC Back-UPS Pro 700VA, hopefully it works as good as it looks

Plugs orientation makes it impossible to plug in DC packs without some sort of maneuvering with receptacle flippers... or a power strip add on... which kind of defeats the purpose

I needed to replace an older unit that was protecting a new entertainment system. APC offered a good trade in, trade up deal. I have 3 Backups Pro's. They have done their jobs for a very long time. Worth every penny. I've had one get struck by lightning. It saved the equipment that was plugged into it. Great investments.

Think before buying

Has a load of features (management, hot swappable batteries, etc) and provides the protection my customers require. Like that you can select what does and doesn't get power if loss of power occurs.

Great Unit and Value!

We use these in our office at most of our workstations. Plenty of power & outlets for most, unless you've got a massive multimedia setup at your desk. Great looking units - the LCD display is clear and easy to read - just enough information not to overwhelm.
