Cadet 2 review

The holes on the base did not line up properly and the light was not secure. I had to take the head appart, pop the light fixture back into place and put it all back together. Other than that it works fine.

I would recommend this to a friend.

This is great for the beginner. It is so small and compact you could use this in a small closet. Would be great for a portable darkroom setup.

An excellent enlarger for its price!

I looked far and wide for an enlarger that would suit my needs without costing too much, and this one was perfect! I have had it now for one year, and it still works perfectly. It is easy to use, yet has wonderful results. This is an excellent product to invest in.

About Beseler Cadet II Black

This addition to Beseler's family of high-quality American made enlargers, the CADET II is ideally suited for both beginners and experienced amateur 35mm photographers. It's compact, lightweight design, plus ease of assembly, setup and storage offers the perfect solution for the temporary or traveling darkroom. The CADET II comes equipped ready for use, complete with a 50mm Beslar lens, 35mm nega-tive / slide carrier, a filter drawer for 3" x 3" color or variable contrast printing filters, 2-1/4" optical glass condenser, and a 14-1/4" x 11-3/4" white laminated baseboard for enlargements up to 8" x 10". The reversible column allows for floor projection and large magnifications. The column features a counter-balanced elevation control, as well as, an elevation scale for speedy print sizing.

The Beseler Developing Outfit is an excellent complement to Cadet II or Printmaker enlargers. The 23 piece kit consists of all the essentials to develop film and make prints. Includes film tank with reel, 2 film clips, safelight bulb, timer, three 8" x 10" trays, three print tongs, three 32 oz. bottles, easel, thermometer, funnel, beaker, squeegee, stirring rod, printing guide and a package of BesFile 35mm Archival Storage pages.
