The standard adaptor plate for the camera is a bit tricky to mount onto the head of the tripod. Good quality design

I use this tripod for situations when my larger Manfrotto tripod is just too bulky, like hiking and when I need to pack as light as possible. I have not got a blurry image yet, and I've even used it in wind. I haven't extended it completely, usually just the first two sections. I use a Nikon D7200 and a medium telephoto lens, and it supports it with no problems.

Very compact, light, and not too expensive. Not high enough though but no big deal

This was such a sad purchase! I was pretty happy when looking at all the folks who buy this and like it. Even the Lock knobs on the legs are cheap plastic! The head is NOT removable...First sign to get rid of this pod. After returning I purchased a Orbit 3d, and that is as solid as my Manfrotto 190 series, which I like. The BeFree One is a joke. Besides it is NOT as compact as it sounds. You are MUCh better off with a Cullmann Magic for under $ with a more compact stow away.

Shockingly solid stance from this ("new and improved") It is disheartening to see legs slide apart under a lightest load.

Needed something relatively light and compact for all day hiking/climbing trips and this seems to fit the bill. Great value if you can get it on sale for about $100.

Seems sturdy and packs relatively small and light for travel. I've taken it on one trip so far to Joshua Tree NP and it performed well on uneven rocky surfaces and in wind.

I own this version as well as the carbon fiber one. While the carbon fiber is lighter overall, this one is more compact and a bit more stable. Highly recommended.

The reality its this tripod is not all the steady that I want, if you put a regular reflex on maximum high I will be thinking on secure it with my hand to avoid the oscillation that any movement can produce (like a freaking pendulum), but if you avoid the last section this tripod its preeeetty steady, I will be thinking on secure it if its windy but does the job, if I think only in the stable matters probably doesn't get four stars but the thing its this guy its light and really compact, and easy to use so its always gonna be on my backpack for any time that I need it, I like to travel and usually I don't bring my light but bigger tripod on a adventure hike, this guy its as good as I will have it always with me, but if my plan its to take night photography probably I will grab the stable one.

I have two already: Manfrotto 055 series and 190 series. I still need small one, lightweight but hold camera steady. This the one I looking for. I loved it. Thanks.

Purchased this tripod for a spotting scope, but found out that it is a great tripod for when I backpack into to a location for my photography. Very well built and very versatile. Worth the money I spent on it.

Usable, but too flimsy, cheesy, plasticky and wiggly for any serious use. Replaced with MeFoto RoadTrip Travel, much better design and build quality.

My college freshman, enrolled in a professional photo program, needed something very portable to take anywhere and every-where for assignments. This tripod is going to make these school projects an A+.

I like the Manfrotto Be Free tripod in general for it's small size when folded up and for the nice ball head it comes with. I also like the nice lever clamps that hold the legs extended. They are easy and quick to use. When up and with a Canon 7D & 18-135 lens attached, the camera does move when nudged. That is, it isn't rock solid, but I would imagine that this is normal for a light weight travel tripod. I compared it to my old Cullmann 2101 tripod which I have used for years and the Cullman has a taller tripod so is more stable that way, but seems to move at the camera as much or more than the Manfrotto. If you really want to have the camera steady, you have to hold it or use a cable release so you aren't touching the camera. Also, I don't think either one would work on a windy day unless steadied by hand. I guess this is normal for light travel tripods. I am looking forward to getting out where I can really try it out.

I use this for my Fuji XT1. Great tripod, but I use it strictly for traveling when I can't carry a sturdier tripod. Heavier cameras won't work especially if you're in a windy area.

Lightweight and easy to use. A little lighter than I would have liked. Ball head OK for the price. Lock on camera plate little cumbersome to use. Over all good for a travel tripod for limited use. Not adequate for some one who uses tripod for heavy use.
