There is a additional curvature on the ends of the 3 posts, which prevent this from locking in to my bowens-mount flashpoint xplor 600. Makes it useless for me.

My purpose adapt my Paul C buff/ alien bee bronclar modifiers to fit the godox/Bowens lights. It works fit is a bit snug tho. The item is a tad pricey for what it is

It fits snuggly in the Paul C Buff foldable softboxes, it's tight though. I couldn't rotate the speed ring even when the thumb screws were completely off. So I just place the speed ring on top of both the washer's so it's sitting just above so it can rotate.

Actually bought this to be able to mount a Savage beauty dish to a bowens flash holder. It's a touch loose in the Savage ring but works just fine.

I recently switched out all my old AlienBee Paul C. Buff flash heads for Flashpoint heads with Bowens mounts. The switch was a little expensive and having to replace the modifiers was a task that I did not want to have to take on. Then I found this little adaptor here. It saved me from having to find a local buyer for the modifiers or from having to ship such large modifiers and replaces them. These work great and I couldn't be happier.

I kept this part even though it doesn't fit exactly. After a few maddening attempts to drill holes through this part i was able to attach it with two screws (there are four). After all that, the adapter still needs to be filed down on the tabs to get it to fit in my Godox AD600BM.

I was weary of buying this at first because I've already tried one adapter to mount my PCB modifiers to my Flashpoint Xplors, and it unfortunately did not work. BUT NOT TO WORRY. These work great with the PCB softboxes! I did not have to cut, saw, or file anything in order for these to work BUT they were a little too snug so I filed the rounded edge down just a tad for easier mounting since I'm usually a solo photographer. The bulbs of the Xplors do sit a ways back in the mount but I'm not concerned because my photos are still turning out lovely. Also like I said the fit is very tight but it's so simple to buy a ($) file and trim up the rounded edges as I have done. I decided to continue investing in the PCB softboxes because now I can literally use those modifiers for whatever brand of light I choose to.

Really nicely made. A note to XPLOR 600 users: you will need to file down a little off of the three tines in order for it to fit. Takes a few minutes and works just fine.

I had read the reviews that this adapter didn't fit the XPLOR 600 but mine fit fine without filing. The adapter rings fit my Plume Wafer and iConcepts speed rings perfectly. The only criticism is the flash tube ends up sitting back in the ring (not a fault of the ring). I wish Adorama/Godox made a flash tube spacer to bring the flash tube forward. The result would be a more even light spread in a soft box or octa.

Works great to convert a Paul C Buff modifier, but for some reason the three prongs are rounded on one side, and you will need to file them down in order to make them lock in to the Bowens mount. Overall, a cheap fix, but I'd prefer it be ready to use straight out of the box.

This fit Buff softbox perfectly. Slight modification needed to mount it to Explor 600B at the mounting point. Had to file down as well as others had to do so also. No biggie. Sturdy product.

I have full Paul C Buff system. After buying first Flashpoint Xplore 600 light wanted to use PCB softbox with Xplore 600 and this speedring worked perfect. I had to barely file edges of this speedring for smooth rotation, otherwise worked as direct replacement. I will buy more as I add additional Xplore 600 lights in my system.

This speedring is well constructed and fits any of the Paul C Buff soft boxes perfectly. It does not fit in the Flashpoint XPLPR 600 units though. If looking at the picture here, in order for it to fit the XPLOR600 units, you have to file down the underside of each of the three locking Bowens mount tabs. When I say "file down" I mean VERY minimally, like maybe a1/4-1/2 of a millimeter. Once you do that, it fits perfectly and locks in like it should. Being that these are mass produced items (likely from China) there may be some inconsistencies between units so all of them may not have this problem. Even with the problem, it took me less than 5 minutes to make it work. Jay www.jfw3.com
