Users can control the modelling lamp and power of each flash unit directly from the EL-Skyport transmitter, which instantly shows the updated settings. This provides an incredible system for every light in your setup, right from your camera.  Hi-Sync opens up the world of fash photography   Elinchrom Hi-Sync technology lets you go beyond the X-Sync of your camera. Photographers can simply switch to Hi-Sync mode and access sync speeds up to 1/8000s to freeze motion, overpower the sun, darken backgrounds or use a wider aperture. The ODS (Over Drive Sync) feature enables users to fine tune the EL-Skyport Plus HS transmitter's trigger signal to optimise exposure at high shutter speeds whilst gaining up to 2 more f-stops of light. I bought this to work with the Rotolight Neo 2 and it works great. I really can't wait to try it on our family parties in the future after COVID 19 is a forgotten thought. Great product

Works great however hi speed sync is not comparable with my elinchrom 500 strobe lights... compatibility should have been flagged somewhere obvious in the ad...

This works fantastic on my Canon 1D-IV. Easy to install, connect and use. Haven't figured out how to make it work on my Canon 5D II yet though.

Elinchrom EL-Skyport Transmitter

What's to say? Installed the batteries, powered it up, it located and connected to my BRX 500 within seconds and I was controlling and shooting immediately thereafter. I found the menu system and controls intuitive and simple to operate. Build quality and ergonomics are top-shelf, as you'd expect from Elinchrom. Don't hesitate - If you've got the compatible EL-Skyport lights get one.

A Fantastic Upgrade From Your Old Skyport

Great product be sure you check compatibility with the strobes you have. Only a few strobes work with the High Sync feature. Customer Service is best through the Elinchrom Facebook page.

Have been on Pocket Wizards for years and love the difference these make.  We have used Elinchrom systems for years and never was a fan of the old transmitters.  On updating to use their HS head I found the pocket wizards were clipping / banding the images despite whatever tuning we tried.  This worked right out of the box with the ELB 400 and Ranger Quatra for HS heads.  What I love about it is that it is easy to adjust the power of the unit and take it on/off the camera hot shoe.  It is much bigger than the pocket wizards but if you are trying HS photography using Elinchrom units it is a must have trigger.  We have 3 now and they all work well with both the ELB 400 and Quatra though after making an adjustment you must manually refresh the other EL Skyport units.
