Questions & Answers

Khoa N : What the expiration date on it ?
KAY C : CAN THIS FILM BE USED IN 440 POLAROID LAND CAMERA?NICHOLAS R : Yes.DOUGLAS P : Yes, that's what it's for, baby. Buy some whilst you can, and store in fridge, not freezer. Makes beautiful analog photos. Much better than "modern" polaroids. I have same camera.. just be careful loading it. I used to try too hard to load it. Tried to make the main pull out for the picture, and the little numbered white papers, all go through the same slot. That is wrong, and won't work. So just follow directions and all will work well. Fyi....There are really 2 slots, and if you just install the film simply it will place itself correctly. After the dark slide or first picture is pulled out, one of the little white numbered leader papers comes out front slot. These are supposed to be pulled out the front slot.. pull these gently and slowly. Don't rip them out. See, these majically make the next heavy puller come out the rear slot marked #4. This is much stronger and can be pulled a little more wrecklessly, but go slow and steady, cause this is what pulls the photo through the rollers and out of the camera. And also spits out another white numbered leader out the front slot. That is how it works if it's loaded simply and properly, according to the directions. This also loads into a hasselblad Polaroid back. So use Polaroid or hasselblad instructions if needed. ENJOY FILM!ROBERT B : I use a Polaroid 250,and it works fine in mine.Make sure you have a 3000 setting.Fits like a glove, but removing the film from the camera can be a bit tricky.Just have a good even grasp when extracting your picture.SEAN V : yes it can.make sure your battery is good and that you have it set to the proper asa setting.
Shopper : My camera is a J6 . Will this film work with it?JOSEPH D : If you mean a Polaroid J66 Land Camera, then no. That camera takes Type 47 Rollfilm, which is not available.VINCENT D : You mean a J66? No.SUSAN H : no, I believe the j66 is a speed roll film camera and the film for it was discontinued years ago in the 80's. you can convert it to pack film, at which time you could use the fuji FP-3000B. google 'how to convert a polaroid roll film camera to pack film'. sorry susanGERALD H : I am not familiar with a "J6" camera so I can not answer this questionRA F : The J66 takes a roll-type type 47 film, It would only fit a J66 that had been modified to take pack film. Better bet would be to pick up a Polaroid 250 or similar on e-Bay. Note: this film is the last of a closed production line. If you want to shoot instant film, consider a camera that takes Fuji Instax or Impossible Film, which are still in production and appear will continue

soon to be extinct

Not as great as the FP-100B but it was the only game in town and soon that game will be smaller. It is a very sharp product, a little cold but great.

Universal love for this instant film

Combined with my Polaroid Land camera, this film rejuvenated my enthusiasm for photography. Everyone who has seen the prints I've taken with this film adore them for the "analog" feeling they present. Also enjoy saving the negatives, which often turn out just as interesting as the prints.

Get it while you can

I love FP-3000B. The film is unfortunately being discontinued by Fuji. It's a real shame, because film this versatile doesn't exist anywhere else for instant photography. I have taken shots in dimly lit areas and got amazing results from it. It's perfect for portrait photography and with the right camera that can hold pack film, you can get superb sharpness, clarity and definition. I normally rate this film at ISO 5000 for a perfect exposure.

Wonderfull product that needs to survive

For one the only fresh black and white instant film left, besides Impossible's crystalizing formula, the only speed of it's kind and the best well formulated instant film available.

BEST Ever Black & White Film

I absolutely adore Fuji 3000b and am so very sad that Fuji will be discontinuing this incredible film at the end of 2014 :( In the mean time I will be trying to stock up as there is nothing else like it.

Instant Black and White, Going forever

There is no comparable product, this is the last instant peel-apart film for all the classic Polaroids. I'm really sorry to learn that Fuji is discontinuing it at the end of the year. ISO 3000 is great for available light shooting with the slow Polaroid lenses. Adorama was the only retailer who held the line on price, and they are still the best. Everyone else capitalized on panic buying.

Best instant film experience ever.

I've been using this film in my Polaroid Big Shot camera and it's the best luck I've ever had using instant film. You can scan in the negatives and invert the image to get a little more out of each image, but that being said, I love the blacks! Crisp and clean looking pictures. Worth every penny.

Excellent black and white film

I love this film. Great tonal range and shadow detail awesome for night/indoor photography. Hate that it is more difficult to pull than the 100c. I haven't lost a color frame yet but the 3000b tends to stick in the camera even when I unlock the back for more room. I lose about 4 frames from a pack not just at first but in the middle too. The black tab gets caught and when I get it right and pull, the dev isn't smashed and no image. Would love a bleachable back for this like the color.

So much fun

I received a Polaroid Automatic 230 as a gift. I thought I would need to buy film from the Impossible Project; so happy when I found out I was wrong. Fuji still makes this film and it makes awesome photographs. The contrast is amazing and it comes out an automatic keepsake. If you mess up you can just say "eh it's a polaroid, it's supposed to look like that". Best part of this film is the fact that it is available.

So excited to find this film!

We have not used this camera for several years and finding the film made my husband's birthday party a hit! We got black and white and color, and the black and white was way cooler by far! My mom told us about this website...thanks, Mom and Adorama!

Favorite Film

I use this for portraiture, still lives and general photography. The speed is a huge advantage for me, but regardless of that it just makes the prettiest photos, ever. This is MY film. Breathtaking, with just enough grain and lovely tonality. Deep blacks, hot whites. A bit too fast for some subjects, but for 90% of my uses this is it. Wouldn't be a bad idea to carry some 100B with you for that last 10% of photos.

Superior to discontinued Polaroid 667

Used as replacement for Polaroid Type 667 for UV transilluminator photodocumentation. Very superior to that product and wish I had found it sooner.

Excellent Film

This film is just outstanding. I'm taking snapshots on a rainy, overcast day with a Polaroid Super Shooter, and the pictures are have excellent tone and detail. It developed in 20 seconds--this is not like the old pack film!
