On the back of your Zoom H4n recorder is a stereo mic input. By plugging this in, one turns the Zoom into a true 4 track recorder....yes, four microphones with XLR inputs...one could easily record two guitarists with instrument and vocal microphones. This bypasses the Zoom's built in microphones and gives the Zoom owner an option for better mic placement. Four singers. Mic a drum set. A string quartet. A piano trio. Yes the options are much better with this simple connector. Any Zoom H4n owner should have one or TWO in their kit bag.
