Shopper : will it print on 8x11 glossy paper ?DOUGLAS F : Yes it does print on glossy paper. It also prints fine on stiffer photo paper stock. The menu isn't very easy to navigate but once you get it setup it seems to work okay. Don't count on professional grade color pictures but they are nice enough. The great thing about the printer is the bulk ink wells. I've printed a lot of color documents on plain white paper & still have ink to spare. I would have gone through a few cartridges on my old HP printer.
Shopper : Will it print on both sides of paper ?ANDREW R : Yes, it can. Automatic duplexing is indicated.
jeff o : will it print a 5x7 picture ?

OK printer but support is AWFUL!

Epson ET-3600 is an OK home all-in-one but do not rely on this for anything professional. Very disappointing cheap build in the paper handling - cheap, wobbly plastic. I have printed a total of 415 pages, of which at least 100 have been tests and dealing with problems, and this machine cannot consistently handle printing without lines through the image. Yes, I've done everything to alleviate this but nothing works. And, yes, I've gone to Epson Support which is utterly useless. Their people (cannot call them technicians) have absolutely no technical expertise. They work from a script that largely has nothing to do with the problems at hand. I am on a 45-minute call now (for the second time) that's nowhere close to a solution. I love Epson scanners, and have had issues with the lack of knowledge on the part of Epson about their products, but the ET-3600 and Epson Technical Support are duds.

Super Economical print. We like it so much we bought another

We love buying the ink, not cartridges. Over 7,000 pages on the first batch of ink. We love it so much that we bought another for our home business

Good economic printer

Granted it noisy, clunky and the paper tray can be a pain to slide in and out, but it's reliable and very economic. I wouldn't take my HP printers back if you paid me. Much more value with this machine.

Great printer!

We’ve been using the ET-3600 for about a year and can’t say enough about the value of the supertank feature. We are still using the ink supplied with the printer at purchase, though we use the printer daily. Filling the tanks requires some care, but is a simple task that is only required occasionally. Love not having the expense and nuisance of buying cartridges!

Great printer

I've had mine for about a year and am still working on the first set of ink bottles. And the picture prints with Epson photo paper are exquisite.

Great at first, then disappointing over time

PROS: the ink tank concept really does let you save money, B&W printing is fast and readable. CONS: connectivity is a real challenge, the driver/software is problematic and after time, the color printing deteriorated to the point where it is unusable. Cleaning the printhead does not revsolve the problem. Missing feature: after a while, I really miss not having a document feeder to facilitate two-sided copying and multipage scanning.

Had it for almost 2 years and have only put ink in it once!

These printers cost a bit more up front but the ink lasts a long time and with a kit containing bottles for all colors, We've yet to buy second bottles of any color. The quality is great. An occasional cleaning is needed if it sits for too long without printing but no more buying expensive, short-lived printer cartridges!

Good when it works

I have had it a year and run a few rams through it. My wife is a teacher so lots of color printing. Here are key points. Refill is seldom but can get messy. Wear gloves. That ink does not come out of skin Heads do clog and the basic clean function will not work. There is an overnight purge process that takes a lot of time. Of purse you have to stop and run the print check after every purge. Interface is like a 90’s iPod. Overall I would buy it again but for the price the interface is pretty old school. For a lot of printing you can’t beat the cost.

INCREDIBLE ink longevity, but not the best printer quality

I am utterly amazed at how long the ink lasts in this printer and the cheap price of the Epsen ink for refills. However, the printer itself is cheaply made. I have purchased two of these at the same time and have used one for office and one for home (2 separate applications, two separate locations) and they both have had paper feeding problems, especially with anything other than standard copy paper. The paper holding tray (after page prints) is cheap and rickety. But if you do a lot of printing and don’t need amazing quality but care more for economy, this is the printer to get. Maybe newer models will be a better quality of actual printer hardware. Overall, still worth it because the longevity of the ink is incredibly high.

I have had the printer for over a year and continue to find it does the job for me. I like the simplicity of the ink tanks

Perfect Printer

Have used cartridge printers and by far the ET-3600 is way superior. The only caution and this is true of the cartridge printers, is if one does not use the printer on a consistent basis the ink jets have a tendency to dry and miss print. (I found printing a color wheel once a week solves this problem) Overall, having the ability to buy bulk ink is an exceptional time and money saver!

Excellent printer hands down

This is by far the best printer I've ever had (and there's been a lot). The Wi-Fi ability to print from any device is awesome (no problems). I've had it now for over a year and I'm just adding ink. I use it for work printing up to 30+page contracts (B&W) pretty regular and color flyers. The only thing I did not consider when buying this printer is the ability to scan multiple pages at one time. Now I'm upgrading to a multi-feeder printer.

Poor color and print quality

I was so excited about this printer with refillable ink...but it is not so great. The ink color is way off from what it should be and the print quality is far from good as far as pictures go. Bummed, would have loved this machine to be what I expected.

Printing problems quite often, noisy and slow

Bought this a year ago, one of the more expensive ink jet printers. Constantly prints low quality or colours not correct. Very slow in printing and noisy.

Meets My Needs Beautifully

I have had my ET-3600 for about 2 years and 5 months. I am still using the ink that originally came with the printer. I use the printer for my personal documents, photographs, and stationary. I also use the printer for photographs, fliers, letters, and activity sheets pertaining to the small Mother's Morning Out program that I direct. I loved my previous Lexmark printer, but when it was no longer functional, I was happy to find the EcoTank All-in-One Supertank Printer.

Ink levels will not reset

Printer stopped printing because it won't reset ink levels. Even with full tanks, hardware and software resets did nothing to remedy the problem. I had to take it to an Epson service center and 2 weeks later still no fix. Save your money and stay away.

Great on Ink; Saves on Gas!!

We have owned an ET-3600 for over a year and have yet to refill the ink tanks. All those trips to the store to buy miniscule over-prices ink cartridges have been eliminated.

This printer is great

I purchased this printer almost 2 years ago and am still running on original ink. The print quality is excellent. The printer never dries out from non use like older models and the ink lasts forever and is very inexpensive to run. I have it connected WIFI so the printer can be placed anywhere you want as it does not need to be wired to your computer, this is a huge plus. I am a loyal Epson user for over 20 years, great products.

Great Printer

Bought this a year ago and ink still a lot. Sometimes wireless feature printer can't be found but a power on and off printer will do the job.

Great Product, but scan option is not user friendly

Great product and the ink cartridge is amazing! However, the initial scanner setup is not user friendly upon setup. The print and copy was easy to use, but the scanner was not ready to go.

Good, but Low use results in lots of head cleaning

Had this printer for about 18months now. Very impressed generally. Initially had problems with wifi connection on a Mac and a PC, but uninstalled everything after a couple of months, tried again all worked perfectly. Also allows me to print across my network from iPad, phone etc. We don't use it that much (3-4 times a week), which resulted in the head drying out and that was stubborn to clean. Had to do 5-6 cleaning cycles. REALLY good with ink, only had to refill once in the 18months. We have the unit to Scan and sends to Dropbox, which works well. It doesn't print photos on photo paper that well and it doesn't print and line up smaller than letter/A4 Paper draw is small, but not really an issue for home use. Considering how much we spent on cartridges before this, its awesome value for money
