Came in perfect condition and had everything listed within its box. I can finally start my photography journey with this as my very first camera.

If I were rating the camera alone, I'd give it 4-5 stars.  Some of my best shots were taken with the D7100. I now own a D500 and the full-frame D750.  I realized that I wanted a quality camera for times when I was going to be in brutal weather conditions; where I wasn't going to shoot movies, or need other high-tech features.  The D7100 will hold its own, and although its successors have many more bells and whistles, the D7100 won't disappoint.  
My rating of 3 stars is generous - but applies to Adorama's rating of "Excellent" to this used camera.  The camera arrived with a fingernail-sized hot spot/stain/water mark in the middle of the LCD screen!  I'm returning it immediately.

I needed more resolution but needed to keep the price under the wifely radar.  A refurb 7100 turns out to be a great solution.  I had one tiny issue with the refurb I bought and Adorama went out of its way to fix it ASAP--typical great service from Adorama.  I've never had a problem with an Adorama purchase, in 20+ years.  Great people, great prices, and the website is easy to use.  Can't beat it.

Everything about this purchase went well.  The order was completed quickly, the camera body arrived in excellent condition; it looks brand new, not a single scratch.  I did a shutter count test, and the shutter only had 468 actuations, another great thing about this purchase.

Fantastic camera! Factory refurb unit looks and feels brand new! Could not be happier with the purchase. Super fast shipping was an added bonus! I believe that I received an excellent value for the dollar with the manufacturer refurbished camera. Bought my first Nikon from Adorama nearly 40 years ago. Still getting the same great products from them with the same great service!

Fantastic camera!

I like using this camera for the most part, my boss purchased it for me to take marketing photos of job sites etc. and it did the job just fine. However, I have now been tasked with taking pics for insurance purposes, and they require the photos to have a time/date stamp ON THE PHOTO itself, not just the properties of the photo's file. You can print the stamp if you use the PictBridge option with a PictBridge printer only. We don't need to print the pics, and we will not be purchasing a printer. So this camera is now useless for our current insurance needs. I talked with Nikon customer service but she explained how this level of camera does not have this functionality available and I would need to buy a different camera or the special printer. I asked to put this request in the suggestion box (if they have one) since I see I am not the only one who is missing this function by all the forums I saw during my initial Google search. I really hope Nikon will come up with a firmware update to include this functionality soon.. In the mean time I will be using my CELL PHONE which DOES have this functionality available. Not so happy of a boss either.

Missing key function

I was very pleased with the camera body.  I put my lens on it and have taken many pictures so far.  Will recommend this to anyone.

Purchased a refurbished nikon 7100 from nikon. It never powered up. I assumed like all other companies they would return it or exchange if for another but no. They make me send it out for service.

I have a Nikon d5300 (new) - and just bought a used d7100 from Adorama. Wow - what an upgrade. Photos are spot on sharp and clear. This camera is making me a better photographer than I really am!

Great upgrade!

This camera is a major upgrade from my Cannon Rebel T1i. I love the grip, still getting used to the weight, the menus are very easy to use. I am not a fan of Nikon lens threads being reversed from Cannon. I am still learning how to use it, so I will have to update this review when I have a beer grasp. 

Such an Upgrade!!!

I upgraded from a D7000 and am so far very pleased with this camera. Quick focus and nice hand grip is a little bigger than my other camera body.

I take a lot of wildlife photos and I am looking forward to being able to enlarge prints. I have a lot to learn about the camera but that is part of the fun, learning all the different ways to make your shots better. 

New camera

Love the camera/package.  Still have my D7000.  So wanted similar layout of camera.  This fits the bill.

This camera has everything.  Even better than more expensive and newer model Nikons.  Very happy with this.

User manual could have been included with simple steps 

1. Setting aperture 
2. Focus 
3. Fitting lens 
4. Taking single person pic 
5. Taking group pic 
6. Taking landscape photos 
7. Taking photos in low light 

Settings top 3-5 for each of above scenario that would have made usage experience more enhanced 

And wifi router could have been in built and eat less battery and also allow making some settings related to focus , aperture so on

great camera

Coming from the D3xxx series, I found that the D7100 was a welcome upgrade. Although it's the same megapixels, I have definitely noticed a difference in the quality of image. It has better focus capabilities, more features, and a sharper image (due to the lack of AA filter).

A welcome upgrade from my D3200

No problems so far, even though I was a bit concerned about it being refurbished. Packaged solid and arrived on time. Love this camera and will carry it with me for sure, even if I upgrade.

Way too many clicks taken with this camera

I received my "new" refurbished Nikon D7100 and was quite pleased with it. Again, this was obviously used prior to my handling but it was clean and in good shape. I was thrilled that I received a product that I expected until I read the shutter count. 15,000 shutter clicks!... WOW! This may not seem alot but for a refurb? Come on... Theres a fine line between "used" and "refurb" and it comes down to seller and manufacturer agreement. This camera was used and used way too much....
