This DVD is not for those who know about photography but just want an easy way to learn about their new camera. In fact, the camera this came bundled with for me was not even the camera shown in the DVD. If your are new to photography and want to learn how to take decent pictures with your new SLR (i.e. you want to learn how to frame, focus, set the exposure, etc.) then this is great. However, if you are like me and have taken three years of photography classes... this DVD will come across as annoying and somewhat offensive. I wanted to learn about the settings and features on my new Sony A77 and instead this showed how to take pictures using the A30 (which I had a few years ago).

This is like an introduction to photography, it has no technical information and it does not show you how to manipulate the camera in any way! 5 min into the manual and you will get a lot more than this video. Extremely overpriced and it only has 16min of run time.

This video made me more comfortable to just pick up my camera and take better pictures of my kids! The photo tips were great, and easier to put in to practice than I'd imagined. The focus is more on learning to capture great images than getting specific with technical aspects which is exactly what I was looking for with so little time and two toddlers to photograph.

This helped me to get started with this camera, which I LOVE. I learned the features and loved how she presented how to capture kids on film. I always had the posed pictures. This is helping me to get photos of real life and details. Love the blurry background lesson too. As a woman new to photography, this was a great way to learn more than just technical stuff.

I received the DVD with my SONY DSLR. I was blown away by how Me Ra was able to simplify the features for me. I have taken priceless photos of my children because of her awesome photo tips!

So I am one of those people that loves to learn, but is afraid to do it where I feel like I might fail in front of someone. Does anyone like that, really? Well this video was amazing. It gave me the confidence and insight to follow my dreams and passions. I am now pursing a career as a photographer, and I would not be doing this had it not been for this video. Honest to goodness!! Thank you Sony!! Life changed!! Where do I put that?!!

The best part about this video was how "accessible" Me Ra made the elements of the camera as well as elements in photography. I was able to go right out and practice her tips while photographing my babies. Can't wait to keep practicing! Great coaching!

This DVD inspired me to work harder at taking the kind of pictures that I will want to keep forever. The host, MeRa, explains things in a way that really make sense and she has a knack for talking right to her audience. This DVD is the perfect companion for anyone looking to buy a new camera.

Me Ra spoke right to me. She took all the fear and uncertainty about learning how to use this incredible camera away, so I could relax and focus (ha ha) on taking great pictures. My pictures. I highly recommend it!

It is a big waste of money, I learned nothing. It would be better to just give to you when you buy a DSLR. Really buy a book and you will learn much more, I promise!

This video is good for someone who knows nothing about photography. It is not very helpful for someone wanting details of the Sony Alpha. Not one word about the zoom and how to use it. She never mentions ISO which is so very important especially in low light situations. She may be a great photographer but she is not a good teacher if you want details. There has to be other better videos out there. If you get it free with the purchase of a camera as I did then great, but I would not spend money for this video, Simply not worth the price. You can see everything she has in the video for free online. Save your money on this one.

not worth the price. even for beginners, less than basic. By the way, this turned out to be a bonus DVD (30 min) that is most likely included with the new alpha DSLR cameras.
