Edwin D : Will this work with a Manfrotto 055 tripod?GOLDNER Z : Ed D, BWG-J3K Junior 3 Gimbal Kit will work with your Manfrotto 055 tripod.LAWRENCE C : Yes. I have it mounted on a Manfrotto 055CF.JON M : Yes, it will. Mine is attached to a Manfrotto 055XPROB (3/16"-18 thread) and so far has given little trouble, if any. Two caveats, though: 1) Since the gimbal head base is smaller than that on a Manfrotto head, the set screws under the tripod's mount won't work well. You will have to make sure the base is screwed in nice and tight. 2) Once installed, switching between the gimbal head and your current standard head won't be easy. I fastened a 3/16"-18 Arca-Swiss-compatible adaptor (shown below) to the head that originally came with my tripod so I can attach the standard head to the gimbal head as needed. It's not the best workaround, but it works for me.JOHN C : Don't on a manfretto but the gimbal is a universal threadBILL-SHIRLEY P : I have mine on a Bogen 3021 tripod, should be no problem.UDAY N : Yes, it will.ROBERT B : It will work with any tripod that has a 1/4 -20 or 3/8 mounting screw.

If the existing tripod head is attached to the base by a 3/8" screw _and_ the base can support the combined weight of the Jobu head, your DSLR, the heaviest lens you plan on using, plus a few pounds (or kg) extra for insurance, this head should work.BILL H : As long as you have access to the 3/8" mounting screw it will work fine.LYNN F : I don't see why not. I have used it in a Gitzo 2227 but better on the biggest flashpointLAWRENCE C : Yes, provided the Slik tripod has a Standard 3/8"-16 Tripod screw. MICHAEL A : oe does this model differ from the Deluxe model?GAIL C : I really love the Jobu I purchased -MICHEL L : The deluxe model seems to have an upgrade from the Junior 3 kit with swing arm HM-J2 (bought it with the 4.5'' lensplate - this depends on the lens you use with it), although I am not sure what the upgrade is. Great with Fuji XT mirrorless system!

Works perfectly with a Fuji XT-3 with a 100-400 lens and a 4” RRS lens plate that I already had. I haven’t tried it with an extender yet. That may require a slightly longer lens plate to balance properly. It’s designed for a lighter load than the Wimberley, but within its weight ratings, it is a solid performer. Excellent quality!

Nice Gimbal with one flaw

Overall I like this Canadian-made Gimbal. It is quite smooth, not too heavy, and balances my Pentax 150-450 +K1 nicely. However, the one thing I don't like about this head are the two screws that attach the swing arm to the base. They come loose all the time. I suppose I shall have to use "locket" to keep them in, but this is an inconvenience nevertheless. Otherwise I need to have an allen wrench along with me all the time, one more thing to haul around.

Great Gimble Head

Very sturdy, well made and functional. Mine easily supports a heavy Nikon 300mm f28 telephoto lens (with 2x extender) mounted on a Nikon D300. Easy to balance lens and camera with slide clamp. Smooth panning and tilt with easy-to-set friction knobs. Couldn't ask for more. Very highly recommended.

Dynamite gimbal. I own two!

I use Jobu Design BWG-J3K Junior 3 Gimbal Kit with Swing-arm HM-J2 on a Cullman 525c tripod for my spotting scope and for my large Canon telephoto lenses. I would recomend the gimbal and tripod without hesitation.

does it all as needed !

Use it with Sigma 150-500 Bigma on D700. Balances nice with supplied foot on lens, even fully extended (lens +). Light weight for hauling around. Smooth movement for action shots, locks solid for still life. Cost was reasonable.

Excellent head

This head has been an excellent value. I use it with my Nikor 300mm f4, sometimes with a 1.4x teleconverter added. Re: customer question. Mine came with an Arca Swiss style clamp. I have a Kirk photo plate on the lens, all works perfectly.

Outstanding Gimbal Head

I have used this product with a digital body and lens up to 500mm f4.5 although more generally on a 400mm f5.6. Provided the lens mount is well placed the opperation is a dream. Very smooth. Very lightweight. Top rated product made in Canaga. The only issue some may have is the base is small as are the knobs. I love it, but if you want larger knobs it might be an issue for you.

The Jobu Jr.3 gimbal (BWG-J3K) is smaller, lighter, smoother and more compact than our earlier BWG-J2K head. Needle roller bearings allow smoother tilting under heavy loads and better adjustment of friction. Lockout force has been improved 200% and overall durability has been improved in all aspects.
