Airo by K-Tek announces an integrated new Booming Intro Kit packed with essential audio tools especially designed for content creators who require quality, affordable audio sound for their video. All they need is a shotgun microphone and this new kit.

Made by the company known for designing award-winning equipment for top audio mixers and boom operators, four Airo fundamental tools come in a handy black over-the- shoulder carrier, ready to help the user create professional audio.

This kit includes the basic Airo Boompole 1 (ABP1), a practical pro-style solution to bringing the microphone closer to the audio source without stepping into frame. Made of black anodized aluminum, the uncabled, non-rotational pole offers rubberized collars and a foam grip for quiet and comfortable handling. The ABP1 collapses to 3' 2.5" (98cm), extends to 10'10" (330cm) and weighs just 1.6-pound (725g). For convenience, Airo also includes the AXC25 standard 25' Microphone Cable with 3-pin XLR male to female straight connectors.

Offering the functionality of costly shock mounts in a more basic package, the Airo Shock Mount 1 (ASM1), uses K-Tek's microphone suspenders to isolate the mic from vibration and cushions it when the boom is moving.

The new Fuzzy Windscreen AFW1 uses open cell foam, covered by faux fur (made of natural looking black and gray fibers.) for optimal wind-noise reduction. With a professional and unobtrusive look, it fits most common shotgun microphones.

It all fits smoothly into the Airo Kit Bag (AKB1) that features a lightweight yet sturdy triangular design with shoulder strap and zipper, a black exterior and easy-view gray interior.

- Airo Boompole 1 -
4-section, uncabled, anodized aluminum, non-rotational Boompole; extends from 3'2.5" to 10'10" (98 cm - 330 cm)

The Airo Boompole 1 has a collapsed length of 3'2.5" (98 cm) and an extended length of 10'10" (330cm) and only weighs 1.6 lbs (735 g). This uncabled aluminum boompole features four non-rotational sections. The top attachment is a 3/8"-16 male thread and the bottom attachment is made of anodized aluminum; both are removeable. Rubberized collars easily lock and unlock with minimal twist movements. Foam grips reduce handling noise and offer comfort during longer takes.

The Airo Boompole 1 is a practical tool for most situations when recording sound and the microphone needs to be close to the audio source. The telescoping pole also makes an affordable and solid antenna mast on a sound cart. The ABP1 is uncabled.

- Airo XLR Cable 25 -
25' (7.6 m) 3-pin XLR cable; Straight Male to Straight Female connector. Great to externally cable the Airo Boompole or other uncabled boompoles.

The Airo AXC25 is a 25' microphone cable with 3-pin XLR Male to Female, straight connectors. A perfect companion to externally cable the Airo Boompole or other uncabled Boompole.

Wrapping a cable around the outside of the pole is not only the traditional way to use a boom but also an important 1st step in the learning progression of mastering booming. Simply, run the microphone around the exterior of your boompole straight into your mixer/recorder. This XLR-cable is long enough to allow both 1-person booming/recording as well as running the cable from the boom operator to a separate recordist in most situations.

This internal length allows for most common microphones to be covered in a way that leaves an open "bubble" between the tip of the microphone and the fuzzy wind screen for clearer sound capture.

Featuring K-Tek's professional rubber suspenders, ASM1 absorbs and isolates the microphones from "swinging" and handling noise. With the included thread adapter, it works on professional boompoles as well as mic stands.
