The KP10VCCR, Mighty Boompole has a collapsed length of 35" (88.7 cm) and an extended length of 10' (3.05 m) and only weighs 2.4 lbs. (1.08 kg). This 5-section Boompole features a removable headpiece for cable reconfiguration without soldering. The top attachment is a 3/8" - 16 male thread and the bottom has a removable rubber bumper. Included is a coiled cable with Mighty Boom Right Angle connector (KPCK10V) and bottom Male 3-pin XLR side exit (KPCCR). Made in the USA.
Replacing the famous K102 Klassic boompole, the KP10V combines everything operators worldwide loved about the K102 with the immense advances and benefits of the Mighty Boom Pole family. Sticking to the 5 sections of its K102 heritage, the KP10V also offers a slightly smaller outside diameter on the bottom section compared to the Mighty Booms with six sections.
The New K-Tek Klassic Poles offer increased interchangeability with its removable headpiece. Gone are the soldered and sealed poles of the past. Today's redesigned headpiece, after removing a standard sized set screw, simply threads on and off the tube smoothly. The cable of choice can be removed or installed without soldering. The boompole is readily transformed to un-cabled, coil cabled or with a transmitter at the top or the bottom. There are no more time-consuming transformations and no need to purchase a completely new system just to comply with a cabling change.
K-Tek has designed poles that are more rigid and have a shorter collapsed length that is desired in today's production environment. The Mighty Boompoles maintain the original light weight of the tubes, yet the new design features added strength. Also, adding a sixth section and wider tubes increases the stiffness and optimizes handling balance. The result is quicker cuing and more user control of the microphone.
Another new benefit is a change to the locking collars. The traditional K-Tek captive collett has been modified with a thicker yet smoother surface allowing for more subtle, gradual extension of each section. A new anodizing process combined with changing the exterior dimples to oval divots gives a better grip and smoother feel when opening and closing each collar. The finish between the tubes has also been modified so the Migthy sleekly glides open and closed. New Migthy poles are hand-burnished to diffuse handling noise.
Compatible with the KPCK10V cable kit and side kick transmitter adapter (KPTA) module to allow for use with a wireless transmitter.
- Coiled Cabled Kit -
Cable Kit for 10' Mighty 5 section boompole (KP10V). Requires a bottom module (KPCCR) to work. Top of cable features the new Mighty Boompole Right Angle Low Profile 3 pin XLR connector. The Mighty 6 section boompoles have a removable headpiece therefore no soldering is required, simply drop the cable through the top section once the headpiece is removed, plug the TA3 into your bottom right angle exit module (KPCCR) and attach to the bottom of your KP10V boompole. K-Tek's Mighty Boompole cable has thicker gauge wire and stronger shielding than previous versions. Made in the USA.
K-Tek has created a higher quality coiled cable featuring a brand new, low profile right angle connector. The new Mighty Boompole Cable incorporates thicker gauge wiring and aluminum shielding to make it both stronger and ultra-protected from radio frequency (RF) interference. The new Mighty Boompole Right Angle connector is smaller, lighter, serviceable, and made with the popular Neutrik connector as its base. A new solid strain relief makes the Right Angle connector remarkably robust while securely holding the wiring in place. As an added benefit, the connector orientation can be changed by simply unthreading its housing, rotating it to the desired position, and locking it back in place.
The TA3 at the base of the cable is surrounded by a machined Delrin shell which secures the cable to the connector. Simply plug the TA3 into the male end of the KPCCR module. In extreme weather conditions it may be wise to unplug and remove the cable from inside the pole. Keeping the bottom open by removing the bottom module or adding the flow through base (KPFT) will allow water to drain through the pole instead of filling the inside of the tubes.
- XLR Side Exit -
Bottom attachment for Mighty Boompoles: a Male 3-pin XLR Side Exit with removable Rubber Bumper. Cable Kit (KPCK9, KPCK12, KPCK16, KPCK20 etc) is needed with TA3F that plugs right into the KPCCR module. Once the cable kit is dropped through the top of the Mighty Boom pole and plugged into the module the bottom module simply screws onto the threaded sleeve at the base of the Mighty Boompoles. No soldering needed. Made in the USA.
The KPCCR is a 3" module of machined aluminum with black anodizing and the Male 3-pin XLR. It has a sleeve and collar on top to fit into any of the New Mighty boompoles. It weighs 8.7 oz (248 g) which also gives a bit of a counterweight on the backside of your boompole.
