What Is a Condenser Microphone?

A condenser microphone is a variety of mic that uses a lightweight diaphragm suspended from a fixed plate to capture audio. When sound reaches the diaphragm, it moves and converts the sound into electrical signals.

Condenser microphones are much more delicate in nature than dynamic microphones, so they are more receptive to subtle sounds and frequencies. When detailed sound is your priority, a condenser microphone is the way to go.
