Fantastic B&W camera. the 28mm Leica lens works beautifully in my portrait as well as landscape work. Macro capability functions successfully also. I love everything about my M11 but my Leica Q2M is still my favorite.

This ghost edition is very well made and so beautiful, the pictures are so maxing and the menu system is very easy. Coming from a canon user this camera delivers nothing but perfection. Thinking of selling all my canon rf gear and getting fully into the Lecia system.

Terrific point and shoot with excellent JPEG rendering. Earlier versions of the firmware had issues with slow AF, this has been corrected in later versions.

Beautiful camera! All works well and as expected. The kit deal was the clincher for me as the battery is so expensive. Very happy with the deal.

It takes me back to when I shot black-and-white film on my Leica M2 in the 70s with all the modern conveniences. Stunning low-light performance, fantastic dynamic range, and the ruggedness of a tank with the nimbleness of a Ferrari. Ignoring color and focusing on contrast, structure, and lighting is liberating. If you love black-and-white-only photography in a stealth package, you will love this camera. If you have to have color and want to give up some low-light performance and sharpness, then the Q2 is a better choice.

Even though it?s the ?same? camera as the classic Q2, I think the experience is so much better. The metal parts of the camera aren?t slick, but have a matte texture that helps with grip. The color is amazing, and I love that it doesn?t incorporate branding that screams ?I?m expensive?.

This Leica Q2 monochrome camera Is the finest piece on photographic equipment that I have ever owned. ?Nothing comes close? so end your research. If you are interested in fine art large photographic printed material your search is over. If you are serious about your photography, look no further. This is heaven on earth. We also have the Q2, and both cameras have changed the photographic industry forever. Just purchases one and you will see for yourself. UNBELIEVABLE EXPERIENCE.

I?m an old school photographer. I started photography using a 4x5 view camera. Learning to develop my images in the dark room was major factor for my love of photography today. Leica camera?s have always been on the want list. I finally made the leap and ordered the Leica Q-2 used from Adorama. This camera is absolutely amazing. Brings me back to my Hasselblad day's with film. If you are a photographic enthusiast, and love photographic fine art. This is the camera that will bring you back to excellent images. Thanks to Adorama and the excellent customer care in the purchasing of this photographic instrument.

The purchase of a Q2 was certainly not justified considering my somewhat limited skills as a photographer, but boy-oh-boy, am I glad I decided to spring for this camera. The Q2 is a beauty, a pleasure to handle, dead simple and intuitive to operate, and the image quality is just amazing. I?m shooting photos that make me proud. The 28mm Sumilux lens is a wonder and paired with the 47 megapixel sensor makes it possible to crop with no loss of image quality ? a major boon for someone like me, who doesn?t always frame a scene very well before releasing the shutter. They say your equipment won?t make you a better photographer, but in the case of the Q2, I?m not so sure. I know I?m taking better photos. But perhaps that stems from the enjoyment of using this superb camera. I am inspired by and delighted with the Q2.

Great ergonomics, light and sharp looking!! The image quilty (RAW) is supierior to the Fuji X-100V, with pristine images and Leica build quality. The 47MP sensor coupled with 28MM Summilix lens really does not disapoint and the macro capabilty exceeds expecations...

Gotta have the handgrip for your Q2. I love carrying it in hand with a Thumbgrip and the loop without a neck strap when I'm running and gunning.

I truly enjoy black and white imaging. The Q2 Monochrom does everything in the Leica fashion, perfectly! I am not going to go into specs as they are easily found online. The camera is rock solid and purely a joy to work with. Leica's are pricey, but you get more in return. For what the Q2 Monochrom does, there is no better.

I guess it has been a month now. I have been through several camera brands and each has been better than the previous. But the move to this Leica was a leap! I would always desaturate my images as a black and white photographer. But nothing I did is even close to the smooth detail of a RAW from this jewel-like camera. I can endlessly play in the shadows. I can bring the sky down into zones I could only achieve in the darkroom previously. And I can crop out several images from one photo. Is the fixed 28mm lens a limitation? No. Are the automatic modes usable? In almost every setting. Is the manual mode intuitive? Dead simple. And as a first for me, the link between an App and the camera works every time without some kinda problem solving. I have yet to use it in a truly dark environment. When I zoom to single pixels, the ones surrounding them are tidy and sensible gradations. Nothing jumpy or jpeggy at 1600 ISO. I am imagining good performance in low light. Oddly, i have been taken by the 4k video. I can snatch really good frames. And the stabilization is just right. I have another video camera where dual stabilization is active. As I pan the video jerks. This Leica seems to leave a natural amount of handheld movement that has more of a human touch on the scene. Really enjoying this camera. And so glad it does not have a tilt/swivel screen. I Can?t think of the last time a photo taken from ground level made me any money. Just be tall and take your photo. @mleysens

So far I am really excited with the performance of this camera. I have not had it too long but the pictures I have made have been outstanding. I would say it was worth the back-order wait time!

The camera is built like a Leica should be. Very intuitive and minimalistic control buttons. The lens is razor sharp and the color rendition is spot on. I also purchased the Leica leather holster that makes a huge difference when walking around the city or the Jersey Shore and having the camera readily available for a quick shot. Expensive but worth the money. Highly recommend it.

This camera exceeded my expectations. It is the first Leica camera that is simple and intuitive which anyone can easily use. It has a fantastic fast lens and can well do auto focus, manual focus and macro. It makes the Leica M10 seem old and the Leica SL seem unnecessarily large. Think of it as a grown up Fuji X100 series. It's your "go to" camera. Primarily, I use it in the 35mm crop mode that provides 30MP resolution which is plenty. Even at 50mm crop you get a nice 15MP photograph. In its native 28mm mode, 47MP is more than I need. I have read reviews that the Leica Q2 JPEGS were flat. I didn't find this to be the case. To me as a street shooter; Fuji does the best people color JPEGS, Sony is unrealistically bright and Leica is understated almost like they are trying to give a film feeling. But for all of them, why use this level camera if you don't shoot RAW? Q2 RAW to me is excellent. Of course the build quality is impeccable and the feel is true Leica. When Leica makes the big modern jump to the "M EVF", I hope it feels like an interchangeable lens version of this camera. I would definately recommend this camera especially to anyone who does travel, street or family photography.

My "go to" camera has been my Canon 5D Mark III. I travel and hike and have sought a small, relatively light and weather resistant camera that takes the quality of pictures of my Canon with my L lenses. The Q2 works for me for this purpose. In post, using lightroom, having 47 megapixels to play with gives me more control over my edits. Detail, tone curve, and basic adjustments come to life, not to mention the quality of detail in my crops. The pixels in Q2 photos give me a "like I am there" quality I don't get with my Canon. I consider this camera the best option for my circumstance, and I feel confident that it will give me the best renditions of the subjects I photograph for a camera in this class.

Leica Q The best 35 mm camera I have owned. It's more of a finely engineered instruent than a camera. The qulity if images from the sumilux lens in astonishing.

After using this camera in a variety of situations over the past month, it lives up to its high expectations. The Q2 is remarkably fast, both it’s focus and shutter. It’s shutter is nearly silent, so it is very discrete in any setting. The image quality is amazing. The menu is very intuitive, and a lot is packed into a clean, simple design. It is also a nice size: not too big and not too small (I added the leather case protector to mine, just because it like the feel of the extra grip it gives to the camera). I am still learning some of the ins and outs of the camera, but I know it is a great addition to the bag.

Perfect for me.
By ROBERT B.
I've used it a few times, it's fantastic for my needs. Decided to quit chasing the latest/greatest camera/lens combo. My left hand is getting unable to hold the cameras & lenses I would like to use. So, this is a very nice compliment to my wants/expectations/limitations. And it's weathered sealed, another plus for me.
Exceptionally Happy
By Darrell C.
At just over 1000 images in to my experience with this camera, I’m already more than happy I bought it; “delighted” comes close. I bought my last camera - the original Fuji X100 - in early 2012, and grew to be so comfortable with it that I thought I’d keep it forever. That made me fear buyer’s remorse with this Q2 but nope, I honestly already love the Leica. One of the things I love most is the very wide field of view that the 28mm lens delivers. I find myself standing where I would have ...

Leica Q2 Monochrom.
Embrace the Soul of Photography.
Leica Camera is excited to announce a brand new groundbreaking addition to the storied Leica Monochrom family of cameras. The Leica Q2 Monochrom bridges the gap between technical innovations and modern features to the historic legacy of black & white photography tracing back through Leica's heritage. This is the only camera of its kind: the first full frame compact camera ever to be made with a dedicated monochrome sensor f bringing with it much of the fan-favorite features of the Leica Q2 with welcome refinements to its design and style.
New 47.3 Megapixel Monochrome Sensor.
State of the art technology and a brand new microlens design result in a completely new monochrome sensor, exclusively developed for the Leica Q2 Monochrom. 47.3 megapixels reproduce the finest structures and low noise. Even at the max ISO of 100,000 the Q2 Monochrom creates images with an outstanding level detail.
Weather Sealing & Other Favorite Q2 Features.
The Q2 Monochrom, like the Q2 it is based on, benefits from IP 52-rated weather sealing against dust and spray water. Additionally, it shares the same crisply detailed OLED electronic viewfinder, impressive battery life (BP-SCL4 battery), manually-controllable 4K video recording, Leica FOTOS connectivity with Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and intuitive menu system. Now with no color settings to worry about, the Q2 Monochrom has an even further streamlined menu.
Matte Black & Monochromatic Design.
Inspired by the design elements established with the M10 Monochrom, the Q2 Monochrom is painted with a matte black finish and all engravings are filled in with only gray, white, or black. The omission of the Leica red dot logo keeps the design elegantly subdued and stealthy.
New and Existing Accessories.
Adding to the vast repertoire of fully compatible Q2 accessories, there will also be new color filters in E49 size for controlling contrast and tonality the "old school" way. A new handgrip for the Q2 Monochrom perfectly matches the grain of the leatherette for a seamless look and feel.
