Great strap, it’s very well engineered. I’ve used it before when renting cameras. I’m glad I finally replaced a different strap I had that had the grippy part get sticky (after ten years of use), with this. I appreciate the branding is lowkey as well.

This is a simple strap without a lot of chest pounding that is Leica made. Just a top quality strap, easy to put on your camera and one of the best gripping pads you can find.

A well made product for any small to medium size camera with appropriate round lugs. The fabric is soft and flexible, even in cold temperature. The fabric is strong and durable and has a shoulder pad / neck pad which is molded onto the strap. In combination with the secure fasteners it will last for ages of normal use. One might take a little care when attaching it to the camera: the fasteners are made of stainless steel wire and may have sharp edges at the wire ends. This will not do any harm during use as these portion of the fastener is well hidden under a protective piece of plastic when mounted appropiately. The piece of plastic is undetachably mounted and will stay in place securely. However, for my personal use I remove the fasteners prior use and file the wire ends carefully to be rounded and smooth. This is not really necessary when taking some care and patience to attach the fasteners to the camera lugs, but it helps to maintain a perfect manicure ;-) If you care very much about the finish of the camera, consider to mask the edges near the lugs with some adhesive tape during assembly. There are no other issues with this almost perfect product. I bought it for any of my cameras that came without the Leica strap. Very recommendable!

Bought this to cut it in half, and use it as a wrist strap - largely because I liked the way the original strap connected to the Leica body rings. Was a bit difficult to get the strap back through the plastic part allows you to shorten / lengthen the strap (as it was then three layers of the nylon strap going through something meant for one or two layers at most) but once through, very solid. The strap gets wider (widest underneath the rubber anti slip pad) in the middle. It is one continuous piece of nylon with the anti slip pad molded around it, very easy to cut off.

It is a strap; what more is there to say. Just kidding! This is a great strap, tough synthetic with tight "keepers" and an easy installation, so it also removes quickly should there be a need. The strap is quite generous in length, which to me anyway, is an important feature. I use many of these on old Canon A-1's, EF and AE-1 35mm film cameras. Oh and of course they are PERFECT for 1950's-60's Rangefinder cameras too, such as the Leica M3 et al. The Leica logo is in slightly raised letters on the studded rubber shoulder strap, and is difficult to read from a distance; this is not a bad thing. ("unwanted attention?") These straps are a bit pricey at $44 HOWEVER they are built to last a lifetime. They will hande a lot of weight and would even work well for larger, heavier DSLR's. (If you have very old, worn, leather straps, buy these and replace your old straps before one gives way and your camera crashes to the ground.) On my chromed-finished cameras, such as the small digital Fuji X100s and 35mm film Leica M3's, I attach a piece of Velcro FELT to the sides of the cameras to prevent the plastic "keeer" from wearing the body. One last note. This strap is for cameras with lugs that have round holes in them, and NOT for cameras that have the "rectangular" bar type attachment where the entire strap fits through the wide slot in the strap. The strap ends cannot be opened up to fit through the slots anyway.

I bought this based on site reviews. I was unsure if it would work on the flat strap holder on my G5, but took a chance, and it works fine. It does not fit on my G3, which has a slightly smaller strap holder. The beauty of this strap is the simplicity of it. Nothing to break, and it is long enough to go over my right shoulder and across my chest so the camera rides on my left hip. The only downside is that it clings a bit when swinging the camera upwards to take a shot, but it is not a shot ruining cling.

The perfect design--so simple and elegant. Some have said it's too flimsey but it's just right as you can easily bunch it up and put it with the camera in your pocket or bag--but it's totally strong and flexible for comfortable wear. I have it on my Fuji X-100 and they are made for each other. Never a worry that it will scratch or mar the camera. Also easy on and easy off---bravo Leica!

I purchased this strap for my M3. It is not leather as it should be, but it holds the camera securely, and it is reasonably comfortable.

A thin nylon strap and a narrow shoulder "pad" scarcely large enough for the word "Leica" which would be the only reason for buying this overpriced item.

Excellent as a durable strap for any mid-size camera, especially Rangefinder types. (Could also handle some larger cameras if so desired except those with strap 'bars' instead of 'eyelets'.) The word LEICA is embossed in the strap but is not visible from a distance so it will not attract undue attention. It is also adjustable to a good long length, unlike many straps. This is a very high quality, durable and obviously long-lasting product good for protecting against sudden strap breakage. I highly recommend this item for your valuable mid size cameras.

Thanks to a kind user named Steve, I was finally able to attach two of these straps I bought. Turns out that the sliding locks at the D rings are VERY tight and require MUCH force to pull back away from the ring. Once all of the ring is accessible, it is easy to rotate the ring through the ear lug of a camera. And WOW, these are truly great straps. Very durable, non-slip, and more than adequate length for most users' needs. At first I though the item was very overpriced, but not so much any more, considering its strength and extended life that it is likely to provide under constant use.

overall a great product! the D rings were easy to attach to the camera lugs and the camera itself is shielded from rubbing on the metal rings by a rubber sleeve which I thought was nice.

You can tell that a lot of thought went into the design of this strap. Instead of the typical split ring used by other straps, this one uses a D ring with overlap only on the flat side and a significant gap between the ends. This makes attaching and detaching the strap to the camera lugs much easier and will preserve your fingernails. A plastic sleeve locks the D ring in place. It also has a two-piece failsafe adjustment system. Each end is secured by the D ring lock and a buckle. If either piece were to break. The camera would still remain safely attached. Also, the way the buckle is attached, there's no extra fabric dangling at the ends. Very neat. The pad is very grippy. This is: a) Good if you like to wear the camera on one shoulder. (It won't slide off) b) Neutral for wearing on your neck. (after all, your neck wouldn't let it fall off anyway) c) Bad if you like to wear it across your chest. (because the camera won't easily slide to shooting position) So, totally worth the "Leica Tax" if you are in either the "a" or "b" categories. Not so much for "c".

Size and design of strap fits well with the classic design of Leica M film cameras.

This has erased all the hassles of bringing my camera along every day. I hang this on my shoulder and forget about it. It does not slip and when you want to shoot it just falls out of the way. Incredibly well designed.

Everything is positive about this strap except being a fat guy would like it to be a little longer to facilitate neck/shoulder carry. Other than that it's great.

I was looking for a strap that does not yell out Nikon, or look at me! This is a simple, solid built strap. No frills that does the job. I am 6'5'' 265lbs and the strap fits me just fine. I use it as my primary support strap on my D7000. The attachment clips work without issue.
Great strap, NOT for D3100 et al.
By ALEX D.
Excellent product, very sturdy design and construction. The gripped pad will keep the strap/camera sitting just where you want it. DOES NOT easily attach to cameras with recessed mounting anchors; on the D3100 you will need to beg/buy/steal and attach another ring (similar to keychain rings) to the mounting point on each side to use this strap.
Carrying Strap with Anti-Slip Pad for R and M Series Cameras from Leica. The strap is adjustable to a maximum length of 42". It attaches to your camera via metal clips that fit through your camera's strap lugs, and are locked in place with plastic guards. This nylon strap is complimented by a non-slip rubberized shoulder pad with printed Leica logo. It is available as a replacement for the strap that originally comes with the camera.
