I'm a full time photographer and needed a pair of monitors for my home computer. I didn't want to spend too much since I've already got high end monitors at work. The LG Electronics 27MP65HQ were very tempting! Dual 27" would give me a lot of desktop real estate. I took a chance and placed the order. Adorama sent them in the retail boxes, but they arrived quickly and with no issues. The LG 27MP65HQs were quick to set-up. I did NOT use the cheap plastic stands that they come with. I used a metal dual monitor stand. I highly recommend using the HDMI input on these. Once I turned on my computer with the new monitors attached I was instantly please! The color rendition looks great out of the box. Contrast and brightness is perfect for my taste. Sharpness is very good, but not amazing. I was also able to color calibrate them with no problem unlike a previous reviewer stated. These monitors are also perfect for viewing movies too!

I have been looking for 2 new Monitors for the kids "homework office". The LG was a good deal but the picture is even better than i thought it would be! I have bought a lot of products from Adorama and I have never had a problem so go ahead and get one or two today!

There are several large flaws with this monitor. - it is grainy, always. I have hooked up 4 different computers and an Apple TV to this device to try to find a good use for it. However despite hours of configuration no device looks good on this monitor - The controls are light sensor controls and they are close together. This causes issues when trying to use the menu or adjust brightness or color. Often they monitor will shut it's self off when navigating in the menu because it senses light movement near the on/off button

Adorama's customer service did a super job shipping the monitor to me. I ordered it from their on-line web site on a Sunday and the monitor was delivered the following Wednesday. LG's packaging was excellent. The box included a carrying handle along the top edge which made handling the package very easy. I am guessing the handle may have helped prevent the box from rough treatment. The monitor base and vertical support were packed separately and had to be assembled to the flat screen. But both pieces snapped into place without any trouble. Included with the monitor was a transformer/power cord and a male to male 10-pin cable for connecting it to the computer CPU. With the power cord and computer cables connected the monitor immediately turned on. Along the right side of the screen's bottom edge are six "blips"- which at first I thought were buttons - five grouped together and one further to the right which is the screen's on/off button. However, when I could not push them I realized that they are in fact touch sensitive buttons. Passing a finger under one of them activates that particular function. They are: Menu/Up arrow Reader/Left arrow Function/Right arrow Auto/Down arrow Input/exit On/Off Activating the Menu button accesses on-screen instructions with a table of contents. While in the Menu the arrow buttons permit moving around. Initially, the screen was extremely bright - apparently factory set at 100%. However, using the instructions the brightness can be reset to one's personal preference - I set mine to 75% and it still is bright enough for my old eyes. The screen's advertised resolution is 1920 x 1080 pixels. Right clicking on the screen opens a box which allows for adjusting the resolution. I am unable to use that resolution because I was told by LG that the video card in my old Windows 7 computer does not permit it. But even though I am running at something less I still have excellent resolution. And the colors are brilliant. The LG flat screen monitor is a vast improvement over the old 22" CRT monitor I had previously. The 27" width is great for working with Excel spreadsheets. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this LG monitor and have no qualms about recommending to others. And as i said initially, Adorama's service was superb - the price was right and the delivery was free.

Pretty happy with this monitor, nice and bright, works well and setup was a snap on my Windows 10 machine. I've used some video editing and photoshop, colors seem pretty on, but I'm no professional. Nice to have the big workspace for my old eyes, especially at the low price I paid. I wish resolution was a little highter, beyond 1920x1080, but it works well.

I love this monitor! For a middle aged guy like myself who's eyesight has deteriorated rapidly in the past few months (sucks to get older). The text, video and display are near perfect in every sense. I use this one along with another LG 27 and cast presentations to my flat screen in the office for stunning client presentations. LG rules!

I love this screen, the size, the weight, the frame, all great. I wish there was a remote, though. The touch-sensitive controls are hard to see and not as fun to use to adjust screen resolution.

It's a great deal at the price, normally 27'' IPS screen will cost you more than $350. The only cons you would consider is that the Response Time is 5ms, so not perfect for gaming.

Just got this monitor for a couple of days. Enjoy it. looks much bigger than my 25 inch hp monitor. Good for watching videos and reader mode is very helpful. Now i use dual monitor to do more work at the same time. so far so good.

I manage a lot of machines remote. I'm on 3 monitors. This is my primary and with some tweaking and 3rd party software it's like magic, organization. No more squinting either, at the price I got it for I was willing to pay tax to get it basically next day.

The 1st one I got had some dead pixels, so I returned it and Adorama sent me a replacement right away. This one is flawless, and I'm loving it. Its good with games, Videos and web Surfing.

I bought this specifically for my photo editing projects. Unfortunately, the color calibration is just not there as described. Also, could not get the brightness to the correct level, 100%just isn't enough. After hours of trying, I finally went back to my Samsung 22". The monitor seems great for surfing and streaming but I would not recommend for photo editing.

Only after using this monitor for couple of years for photo editing I discovered that I was deliberately shifting colors in all my photos into something that looks terrible on properly calibrated monitors. Maybe this model is capable of proper color rendition and I just had the wrong setting all the time. But this monitor cannot give the proper neutral colors without tinkering with controls, calibration software or whatever. I never tried making calibrations with any of my previous monitors. Only simple adjustments to make the picture look pleasant to the eye. Now I upgraded to 32" monitor of other brand which has a direct switch option between 100% sRGB and various other color modes. What a difference... Now I would say that any photographer who does not care to spend the time calibrating his/her monitor should get the one which has the direct 100% sRGB setting option. That is not to say that I was not generally satisfied with the quality of picture. I will keep it as a second monitor for non-photo editing purpose.

This is one heck of a monitor. I am a monitor guy. I usually like to refresh often and I could see myself sticking with this one for quite sometime. The reason: the picture is absolutely stunning and fantastic. The nearly borderless monitor with the cinematic display produces HD photos, as if you're there! Honestly, buy this monitor and you won't regret the quality for the price. In addition, what the other reviewers here are saying about button sensitivity etc. Not sure what they expect. Yes, the button is sensitive and you can still control it without a problem. Yes, the monitor is worth every penny because the picture is absolutely stunning!

nice size, flimsy stand, good color, VERY BAD monitor control switch placement and sensitivity (if you happen to reach under the right side of the screen you will either turn the monitor off, turn the input mode to no input, or activate the monitor control panel. It took me FOEVER to figure out what was happening, thought the monitor was defective. Seven layers of duct tape over the on/off sw and the mode sw makes it less sensitive but still usable, and less likely to accidently activate these BAD switches. It also has irritating popups that cant be disabled. No DisplayPort input, but does have HDMI, but I didn't realize this till I got the monitor home, so my search for a good monitor still goes on. In the mean time I will live with this one and then some member of my family will get a nice computer monitor when I find the one I want. I would recommend this monitor to anyone that is on a budget and doesn't care about inputs, just don't forget the duct tape!

I purchased this monitor to help with editing pictures. So far it is fantastic. Simple and does the job. Some have complained about not having enough display port options but if you have anything newer than 2012 HDMI is the way to go....

While the size of the monitor for the price is nice the quality is average. What makes this monitor a bad purchase choice is the super sensitive controls that are used to control input selection, brightness, contrast... Every time the monitor is used it will switch into a dimly lite reader mode, or switch input selection or shut off merely by getting near the monitor. You will then need to get out a flash light to read the labels on these controls as the labeling is very poorly done. I do not recommend anyone purchase this monitor until the controls are moved from being heat and light sensitive.
