This is my 3rd or 4th of these keyboards. I have them both at work and at home. the shape took a few weeks to get used to (typos!) but once I got used to it it's hard to go back to a flat keyboard. Bought this one because I'm working at home due to COVID-19 trying to type on the crappy laptop keyboard was causing my hands to get stiff and sore.

It took me a few days to get use to it but now, I already feel that my hands are resting much more than with the regular keyboard, and I don't feel pain on my wrists by the end of the day. also de features are great.

I bought this keyboard during an emergency. I had used this type of keyboard before but not from Microsoft. This keyboard is great! I love it! It is very comfortable and is easy to use. When it arrived, I just plugged it into my monitor and I was in business. Can't say enough! Buy it!

I love this keyboard...it's the 3rd one I've bought. It's so comfortable to type on that I have a difficult time trying to type on flat keyboards.

It is obvious people took the time to study the most common hand position of those who type a good portion of their day. I j have MS and my right hand and fingers would start to fatigue and spasm about mid-way through my day. I noticed that I was able to type longer and with less fatigue in my hand within a few days. I will continue to use this keyboard at work and I am considering purchasing another one to use at home and with my laptop.

I wore mine out in 5 years, but I'm hooked so I asked HP to send another one. HP is the best source for all things hardware! It came in like 48 hours! Thanks HP!

First, let me say that I have been using HP products going back to the 70's when I started programming on HP3000 systems. I love their hardware, and this is the best ergonomic keyboard made. It has the HP quality, fantastic touch on the keys, and the padded wrist area leaves your hands feeling great after a long day at work. I have used the mighty split boards for many years now and find it impossible to even try and type on a conventional board anymore. I have fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid Arthritis, and using this keyboard is a godsend for anyone with those type of problems - including carpel tunnel. I did not have any trouble getting used to it, and my speed and accuracy increased by at least 15% when I switched to this keyboard. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Don't give up if you have trouble at first - because once you "get it", it the finger memory stays with you forever. I also have a wireless ergonomic (although I don't see it on the site, and it is an HP). It is much thinner and very lightweight. I use it with my laptop, along with a wireless mouse. I don't know about you, but those "finger mouse pads" that come on the laptops just drive me NUTS - and try and copy and paste with it.. almost impossible. Anyway.. at this price, I am going to purchase two more of them because of the great deal. So go ahead, give it a try.. honestly, try it, you will like it !!!!

I've enjoyed using this keyboard on my desktops for over a year. Amongst Its many features, the precision zoom and short cut keys are definite unique attributes. The adjustable keyboard response is excellent. The padded comfort, ease of cleaning, long battery life and its nice appearance are the toppings on the cake. Even though its wired, the cord is plenty long enough for my desired usage location. It's great not having to periodically reset it because of wireless communication issues -- a common experience with my former wireless keyboard uses. This keyboard is definitely worth its price.

I have worn the key lettering off my wireless ergonomic keyboard 7000. I work about 6 hours a day 6 days a week on it. I can't type worth a hoot on a straight keyboard anymore. I NEED the ergonomic, it is comfortable and easy to use. Took a little while in the beginning to get used to but once I did, I do not want the straight keyboard anymore.

This keyboard is quite good in theory but if you have small hands it's not that great. It made typing very hard for me.

Everything is perfect except when I hit the web/home key it opens a non working google chrome. The key only works when google chrome is already open.

I have wide shoulders and for years used standard keyboards that were awkward and uncomfortable to use because I needed to keep my wrists close together to maintain a proper typing position. When I discovered ergo keyboards almost twenty years ago, it was heaven sent. Have never used standard KBs again. I've owned several ergo KBs over the years and the MS Natural 4000 is the best by far. It has many features that, at one time or another, I've used (volume control, assignable hot-keys, zoom controls, etc..) but I rarely use them anymore because I keep my KB on a keyboard tray and rarely can see the keys w/o pulling the tray out (and the fact that I use hot-key application launchers these days). Regardless, this is a great keyboard. It has lasted longer than the other ergo KB I previously owned which is a testament to its build quality as I use it for 12+ hours everyday. Purchased mine in 2006 and it is still going strong! Have never had a problem with it.

Love the ergo keyboard. Had one once, wore it out, then used old straight style, so am again getting used to the better comfort of using an ergo keyboard. It takes time to get used to but is worth it for these arthritic hands. Love all the functions and features.

I love this keyboard, it puts less stress on my wrists like a straight keyboard does.

I have hand issues and find this style of keyboard very easy to work with. The shape of the keyboard gives your wrists a place to rest. It does take some time to get use to the divided board, but it is well worth the time.

It took a while to get used to the curved design, but once I typed for several hours, noticed that my hands and fingers were not tired. The keys were placed where I can reach them easily. You need to get used to the design. I took off the mounting piece. I would recommend this keyboard for someone who types a lot.

I needed a keyboard with separated sides for each hand and a Caps lock indicator light. This one has all that and a neat zoom key plus other features that I'm still discovering. Installation was simplicity itself.

It took time for me to get used to the separation in the key board, once I did and I removed the elevation attachment it was great. I recommend this keyboard to those who work at home or spend hours on your computer. I am still learning how to use extra function keys all in all I consider this one a great buy.

For anyone who does a lot of typing, this is a must-have keyboard. I've been using this style of keyboard for a long time, and it has cut down on my hand stress tremendously. I switched back to the plug-in style from the wireless this time and I like it much better. The wireless model gets some delays from time to time, even with fresh batteries. This one can go as fast as my fingers will let it.

I use this keyboard 5 days a week for a good 6 hours of steady typing each day. It allows for such a natural position my wrists never ache as they did with a typical "unnatural" keyboard. It may take a few days to get used to the different position of the keys but after that your fingers will fly.

I highly recommend this Microsoft 4000 keyboard. I have four of them now and would not use any other design since it fits your hands comfortably and works great. Standard design keyboards are difficult to use because they are like using a typewriter...this one does not strain your hands trying to get your work done promptly and accurately.

It's been a solid ergonomic keyboard. One of the few available on the market. One notable drawback is that F-Lock key which disables the Function keys (F-1 - F-12). When you wonder why, for example, context sensitive help did not come up after pressing F-1, check the status of this F-Lock key (reported by a little green light at the front of the keyboard). The price could be reduced by eliminating the 17 extra buttons along the top and down the middle of the keyboard. Really, who uses these buttons? At least the buttons are designed to be out-of-the-way. I recommend it over the keyboard that comes with HP computers, where the silly buttons line the keyboard and are too easy to hit accidentially.
