I wanted something that would help me focus the light exactly where I wanted it and these worked great combined with some magmod gels. It put the light exactly where I wanted on the model instead of covering the entire room in light.

I had original MagGrid for years and was happy with it how fast and convenient I can modify my lights, but now I did add one more Flash for my wedding reception repertoire and needed One more grid. What a difference! Great improvement and im so glad MagMod is listening his customers and improving already good products. Way to go! Love you MogMod!

When you need to control where the light goes, the MagGrid 2 is the way to go! Perfect for photographing a wedding reception in a white tent. Instead of having the light blast all over the place, using the MagGrid 2 you get the light on the dance floor without having the light spill and overblowing your highlights.

I like the MagGrid 2. I had an opportunity to learn about this in a lighting class, and looked forward to trying it out. I was pleased at once. It is an easy to use addition to my on camera lighting and worked well. 

MagGrid 2 - definitely a great tool. 

I love this, i use it at every wedding in diferent situtations because you can focus the light on the couple and stack 2 or 3 to make it very pinpoint and make them contrast with the background, its so portable and with magnets its great and easy to use, i use them with my ad200 and speedlights 10/10

Great way to control spread of light

The system is just genius. It's so fast to use and it just does exactly what it is suppose to do. I never used grids before on my speed-light and i am really excited to experiment some more. I predominantly work in a small studio and i love the simple and easy quick way of handling. I have it handy stacked to my gels, so i have them altogether in one place. I bought right away two for my two speed-lights and that was the right decision. Thank you so much for inventing these!

Fast, easy, effective

Mag Grid 2 is quick and easy to use. I love the strong magnetic feature and makes shaping light creatively very easy! Highly recommend!

Just what I was looking for! 

The maggrid 2 is such a great, easy tool! Once you get your MagGrip installed on the flash, you literally just slap the grid on the flash, it's pretty awesome honestly! No complaints whatsoever! :)

Just what I was looking for!

Great product as always. 

Good idea but is way too heavy for prolonged use. Used at a wedding and the magnet weight kept swiveling the head, moving the mods all over the place. Only the grids and gels were OK. The magsphere and magbounce are too heavy for prolonged use.  I’m pretty disappointed because the light is good just too heavy for practical use.  I’m using a Flashpoint R2 and the swivel is pretty stiff but it still moves and has begun to loosen up with only short use of the magmod.

It’s past the return date so I’ll keep them I just wish I would have realized how heavy these things are.  
I will continue to try to use them on occasion because they do provide nice light.
