Still a Perfect classic lens. It might not have all the bells and whistles as the New sony 28-75 or the Tamron 28.75 but if you can get your hands on a good used copy this lens will hold its ground against the ZA 24-70 2.8 lens. Very nice classic lens

I used KM's 18 - 200mm lens for a while, and then decided to try this one. At first I found myself wishing it had a longer focal range --then again, I was used to the other lens. It wasn't until I went back to the 18 - 200 lens that I realized how good this one (28 - 75) really is. This lens focuses so much faster than the other, and the consistent 2.8 f-stop allows you to use a reasonably fast shutter in relatively low light. Really solid lens all the way around (and a bit heavy, but I kinda like it that way =)

This is an amazing lens for indoors and outdoors pictures. Is crisp, fast, clear, contrasty and sharp. Lens hood supplied is not for 28mm focal lenght, no problem with others. I always travel with it.

This lens is great in that it has 2.8 through the whole range of the lens. I just wish it was wider on the low end.

A very nice lens. Pretty sharp at f 2.8 with very nicely defocused backgrounds. Very good for portraits. It is a heavy lens though.

This lens, along with the 80-200 f2.8 I already had, has been the workhorse lens shooting high sports with my Konica-Minolta Maxxum 7D. As the sports editor of our weekly paper, I use these two lenses almost exclusively, shooting in small-school gyms without flash or outdoors under lights. The small school gyms and fields I cover are typically not lighted with photographers in mind.

The K-M 28-75mm is a choice lens, extremely well proportioned and cut. I would recommend it for Portrait photography, although some say the 85-100mm is better...I am fully satisfied with this model. I use it on my Maxxum 7D yet it should perform splendidly with the new Sony A-100. Highly recommended...a serious purchase.

Very good lens, work perfect with my Maxxum 7D
This Auto Focus lens is designed to produce high quality digital images especially when used in combination with the Maxxum 7D and its body-integralAnti-Shake technology. In addition, this lens provides unparalleled creative control because of its circular apertures. Using a round aperture enhances the defocused areas of an image with smoother, more natural looking gradations of tone.
This lens also incorporates Konica Minolta's Advanced Distance Integration (ADI) flash metering. When attached to the new Konica Minolta Maxxum 7D, this lens provides the camera with additional information on focusing distance to further enhance the electronic flash lighting performance and exposure accuracy when using either the built-in flash or the external flash units such as the Konica Minolta Maxxum Flash 5600HS(D), Konica Minolta Maxxum Flash 3600HS(D), or the Konica Minolta Maxxum 2500(D) Flash units.
