Trent C : Does this stand include an adapter tip for the boom arm?JOE C : It includes the knuckle only, additional adapters for the boom are will be need to be purchased separately.

I'm looking for something extremely sturdy - heavy is ok (we've been using a studio's C-Stands and now I'm looking to buy my own...)ALBERT D : Yes, it's a great stand. It's not that heavy but extremely reliable. I've had only good results with it and it's very dependable. Sometimes if it's windy I would advise to use sand bags for extra weight but, other than that I've got my monies worth out of it. Just use it wisely and don't try to make it hold a weight or something that it wasn't design to hold. So... Good luck and enjoy...MARK G : Adorama sent me your question stating I have purchased similar equipment. I do not have the Interfit brand C stand. I have Avenger C stands...they are sturdy. The Interfit looks sturdy from the photo. If you can eyeball them before you buy that's the way to go. They also mentioned an Elinchrom light weight boom arm that I have ..that is a portable boom arm that I use to have someone hand position a light and does not work with the C stands. On the C stands - I use an Avenger 40 inch extension arm. For optimal flexibility I recommend getting a C stand and a matching extension arm. They are really part of the same device. I gather Interfit makes a a similar line of stands. If I were buying I would trundle on down to the store and look at them. C stands are by nature simple and sturdy. Interfit may be a better value. C stands are excellent. So are the new generation of folding stands. Depends on what you are doing. I also use Avenger roller stands and mini booms- depending on circumstances and surfaces - I recommend those as well. It is not usually practical to use a boom arm on a C stand - in my opinion.

great c-stand for the price

i mainly use this stand to hold my softbox. i can angle the softbox any way i want. great design. i will probably order another one .

Better qualitythan competition

Fit and finish is better than older c-stands of other makes. Dentention on store-flat base is nice. Air dampening has held up well. Will definately order more of Interfit as studip grows.

This Interfit Century "C" Stand with 4' (1 m) Boom Arm is durable, and designed to collapse flat for easy transport and storage.

The leg design provides a very low center of gravity, and makes it easy to bury in the soil or sand or accept sandbags for extra stability.

It has a black painted finish.
