It does what it needs to and that's hold the reflector. It's a little on the heavy side. If you have a large reflector, you really have to crank down on the angle support handle to make it from moving down and you also have to have a sandbag on the light stand.

Pretty decent reflector holder for the money

This is my second "lite-disk holder" by Photoflex and can say that the ease of use makes for a reliable source for holding the disk. Careful not to overtighten the lever that ataches to the lightstand as this can strip out and the cost is half the lightstand. I can still use the old "lite-disk holder" but need to use a wing nut with pliers but takes away from the ease of use.

Nice durable reflector disc holder

I bought this arm to hold my 42" 5 in 1 reflector disks. The positioning head is not up to the task.  It doesn't appear to have any teeth and instead works on brute pressure to clamp the arm into the position you want.  I bought this arm because of the reviews about it being well built.  Aside from that major flaw it is nicely build.  It's just not going to work for what I needed it for.  I would consider this a lightweight arm and if you're using the 42" disks look elsewhere.

Doesn't hold the weight

I always looked forward to purchasing photoflex products because of quality and design.  The product is well designed, but the quality of the materials is very poor.

marginal quality for the money

I like this holder/boom to use on my reflector. It design allows me much versatility in attaching my reflector.

serves it's purpose well, with ample room to hold bigger reflectors.

good deal for the price

I was not surprised this was built very well and I am not at all sorry I spent extra. I have found it useful for more than reflectors. Photoflex is very dependable for quality.

Great quality

I have used this product on location as a hair light boom with shoe flash, as a hand held extension for reflectors used by my assistant and on a stand when no assistance was available all with ease. The product I understand at one time may have had some issues but it is now from what I understand the only unit of its kind that is all metal and allows attachment of other items such as Plexiglas on the market.  Good tools are are something you always value because you rely on them a lot. This is one of those tools! Kudos to Photoflex for a product that delivers on its promise!

This is hands down the best in its class

Photoflex Quality come through again!

I like that this disc holder is fully adjustable. I've used it in studio a couple of times now and everything is held securely. It's easy to adjust and work with. It's like having an extra set of arms. With my 48 in disc, you must have some weights to hold the stand in place, as the reflector is heavy. Well built.

Good times with photoflex

One of the few holders I could find that allow positioning of the both reflector clips. This allows more flexible placement of the reflector in relationship to the stand. Others I have only allow positioning of the extended clip, which positions the reflector up against the stand. The boom allows for counterweighting, unlike many of the others. My only issue are the clips, which are somewhat maleable and I need to bend them back into shape sometimes - not a huge issue.

Adjustable & Well Made

one of the plastic spring loaded handles broke the first time i used it.

It's a litle annoying to use because of all the moving parts. It's cumbersome to position properly
