Shopper : Will this TC autofocus with DA* lenses?ANTHONY D : Yep--with one caveat: the teleconverter decreases your maximum aperture by two stops. This not only effects your photo, but your camera autofocuses with the aperture fully open; so a two stop loss of light will make your camera's autofocus work just that much harder.THOMAS W : It seems to, haven't got to use the lens alot. It was recommended by a friend who does a lot of photography.GEORGE W : The TC does not auto focus my DA 17-70 Pentax lens. It may work on others but I doubt it.ROBERT F : It certainly tries to focus; however, sometimes it is easier to do it by hand as it takes too long otherwise...having said that, I think the main problem I have is that I have no really fast lenses with which to work. I would recommend the product without hesitation.
Shopper : WILL IT WORK WITH PENTAX K10D CAMERA? THANKS JOE PROBERT F : It will work; however, you will have better luck with manual focus if your zoom is a huge magnification. At times it just wants to keep trying to focus in and out and I lose the shot. Manual is the answer then. It does bring in the shots closer and good quality

Placed between the camera body and lens, a teleconverter contains a set of optics that will effectively increase the focal length of a lens by a factor of 2x . Pro Optic converters are made with high quality multi coated optics and designed to electronically operate with the camera contacts. Designed specifically to be used with prime or zoom lenses of 100mm or above. 2x will increase a 300mm into 600 mm and will decrease the lens with 2 f/stop.
