Shopper : Has the Pentax Camera Adapter been used on any Canon Rebels? Are the pictures crisp?JohnCYNTHIA F : First of all, this adapter has a Pentax "K mount", so it is designed specifically for Pentax SLR camera bodies. I don't know if Pentax has customized this adapter to other camera bodies. If not, then a Pentax to Canon mount adapter would be required. I use this with my Pentax DSLR with very good results. It does require manual focusing and there is not enough light for the camera to perform a focus confirmation, so this is done by eye. The resulting pictures are very good, but you need to always be concerned with subject distance, and vibrations introduced by mirror slap or wind, etc. I have seen many excellent examples of great images on various bird forums when using this adapter.DANIEL I : You are correct, however it is compatible if you use the Pentax K to Canon EOS adapter. I can mount my Canon EOS A2ilm camera on to this piece with the PK to EOS adapter. I'll be happy to send you a photo of it if you wish.DANIEL I : This adapter is strictly for a Pentax mount and nothing else. I think you could use it with a Canon EF mount provided you have the PK to EOS adapter. I have only used it with the Pentax K-30 as well as the Panasonic GF-1 with the PK to micro 4/3 adapter. As for sharpness it is absolutey sharp and with the sensor on the Canon Rebel should make it a very long telephoto lens, depending on which spotting scope you have. I only wish I wasn't working so much so I could take some bird photo's to show you how sharp it is. I am very pleased with it.ANDREW R : This adapter is not compatible with Canon cameras.
Ng k : Can this adapter used for K-r and K-7 camera ?CYNTHIA F : I have been successfully using my PF-CA35 adapter with my Pentax K10D DSLR for the past year. I have also talked with someone who has also been using the adapter with their Pentax K-7. I am sure it will work with ALL models of Pentax DSLR K-Mount cameras. There is a setting in the camera that may need to be enabled to allow proper metering when the F-stop is not known. When used with the PF-80ED scope, the camera - adapter -scope combination is like an 800mm F12 lens.

K mount multi scope adaptor.

Bought this for my 65mm Pentax spotting scope, then tried it on a Coronado PST worked great, then used on a TeleVue 85mm. Works great on all of them with the Pentax K-5. Assume it will work on any scope that has a standard 1.25" eyepiece focuser.

Quickly hooked up my Pentax K-5 to my new Pentax PF-80 spotting scope. At 1000mm I was focusing on country road markings on a map of Wisconsin from across my house. At f/12.5 it's a little slow, but at this price point I could not complain. To shoot, I used a 2sec delay (with the mirror locked up) to avoid camera shake, and cleaned up the high ISO noise in Photoshop's RAW bridge. I am looking forward to attaching this to my Meade LS6.

Adapter that allows PENTAX 65mm, 80mm, and 100mm Spotting Scopes to be mounted on K-mount or newer camera bodies. For conversion into high-quality super-telephoto lenses with a focal length of 780mm and a fixed aperture of F12 in combination with a PENTAX 35mm-K-Mount format SLR camera.
