Fun Lens to learn photography. Especially for the money.

The lens feels solid with no rattles or loose control rings. Focus point is very thin at f/8, but focus ring adjusts smoothly with nice resistance to touch. Setting the aperture range snaps into place and aperture control is smooth. Lens seems sharp, but has some color fringing in bright light when out of focus. Color fringe not noticeable when in focus. I've taken both bird and astronomy photos with it and I'm pleased.

Recommend a tripod for sure ... You can get up close and enjoy one-on-one with some of nature's best kept secrets Used on Olympus E5 with the adaptor (recommended separate purchase), and it works perfectly.

The Rokinon 500mm f/8.0 Telephoto T-Mount Lens is a tremendous lens for anyone shooting at a distance from their subject, including sports and wildlife photography. Its lightweight (22.6 oz/641 g) and compact (just 11.7"/29.7cm long) and it focus as close as 33' (10m).

The aperture range is f/8.0 to f/32.0. This manual focus lens has an aluminum alloy body with Diamond Black finish, with fully multi-coated low-dispersion optical glass, with a 67mm front filter thread. A T-ring adapter (available separately) is required to mount this lens to a camera body.
