I wanted a small radio for my kitchen, not much counter space. The Sangean PR-D7 is just right. It clearly picks up my two favorite public radio stations, wqxr and wnyc. It doesn't take up much counter space, looks stylish and like that I can use batteries or adapter. It is a portable, so sound is quite decent but not great for music. Yes, I would recommend it as a good second radio.
