I used this with the HDR-CX550V and it's as tight a fit as I could imagine. The case rim is a bit too soft because it's a bit tough to stuff the camera back in one handed especially if the hand strap on the camera is adjusted large for gloves. Also it won't close with the extra large FV-100 battery. Probably won't protect against much of a fall. I added a carabiner for a quick belt connection.

I bought the case to carry my small DCR-SX63. The camera is very small, this case takes with a little effort 2 cameras. The advantage of being able to carry a small, pocket size camera is gone. I do not need extra space, would have liked to have a perfect fit. Pitty!

I can't think of anything bad to say about this wonderful little case. It's perfect for our DCR-SR47 60GB. We keep all our accessories in a larger case, and our camera in this case fits nicely inside. For short outings when we know we won't need a spare battery or any of the other accessories, we just unzip the large case and take this one by itself. We really couldn't ask for anything better, and the price is right. On a scale of one to ten, it gets a ten.
