SHARON C : Will the large deep white umbrella cover full body portraits and small group portraits like 3-4 people? Also, can a silver insert be added for a crisper light? I'm trying to decide between the deep white and silver.DARCY S : I’m not aware of a silver insert being available for the umbrella. I purchased a separate umbrella that has the silver lining. Either umbrella is large enough to light a small group straight on. The umbrella is large so ceiling height can be an issue.KENT S : The Large Deep White Umbrella will work for full body portraits and small group portraits. Depending on your situation you may still want to use a second fill light. Silver makes for a much harsher light but if that is the look you are going for (High Key) silver is a good choice.Tobin B : Depends on the light you are using. If you’re using a flat faced light don’t bother with the deep umbrellas, you can’t fill the entire umbrella with good light, especially the silver. Get yourself a couple medium silvers. You’ll get better coverage and better specular light as well as skin tones.
