Fabulous glass. Just shot a round of self-portraits in home studio to push its' boundaries. I have found no issue with the lens from my aspect. Eye AF is no different than my high end SIGMAs. The lens is light and will replace a 35mm Sigma ART that weighed too much and was too limited for my street photography style. I have high confidence that this lens will meet my needs.

First thank you to Adorama for shipping the lens to me in time for my trip the Canyonlands National Park. This lens was the workhorse of the trip. A very versatile lens to capture landscape and zoom into those tight shots. So far great results.

Not the highest quality lense, but it is perfect for an all in 1 lense for a vacation or trip where yiu don't want to constantly switch lenses out. For the price, I don't think you will find a better lense for what it does

Originally bought this as a travel lens as I was finding the reach on my 24-105 a bit too limiting, but based on the performance I?m seeing out of it so far I?m thinking the sony lens is going to be up for sale soon! Construction doesn?t feel quite as solid as the Sony G lens, but it doesn?t feel like ?cheap plastic? either. As my go-to hike and travel lens I?m also really enjoying the significant drop in weight.

When I want to travel light with just one lens, this one does it all, and it does it very well. Even in low light, you still have a 28mm f 2.8, plus in crop mode it can zoom up to 300mm. There are so many lenses that I have that are better on their own but compared to this one, they are limited in their focal range or are a lot heavier. This thing does it all for travel or for when I know that I?m going to be ?lazy? about changing lenses because I?m going out to enjoy myself. Plus the most important part is that the images are great.

The large focal length range allows me to use this as my first lens for my a7iii since it is so versatile and I've been pretty happy with it so far. Don't think you can a better bang for your buck.

The Tamron presents itself very well. Thee feel of the lens is of quality with the a nice smooth zoom ring. The IBIS of the Sony A7RII works well with lens to allow full zoom shots with little effort. Very Happy with purchase!

Very versatile lens. I am more of a candid shooter and shoot in all sorts of settings and this lens does everything I expected it to do. I purchased this along with a new A7 III sony and it makes a nice combination for what I use a camera for. The manual focus is different on this set up, not sure if it is the mirrorless camera or the lens but that part does take some getting used to.

The lens do not fit inside the lens case, which is too small for that lens. The rest of the kit is okay.

The Tamron 28-200 gave me exactly what I needed for the my Sony A73. It is the most versatile lens that I could find for everyday handheld photography for my camera. I can shoot wide angle shots and then switch to telephoto without changing lenses, and still get excellent image quality. When I go to a place like the zoo, I can shoot close up flowers and butterflies, and then go to the plains, a wide open landscape area and zoom in on the elephants or take a picture with my wide angle of the whole scene. It is light weight, and versitile enough that I do not have to drag other lenses around with me to an event, or park. Best of all is affordability, it is less expensive than the Sony, and Sigma lenses, and close in quality to the images produce by those same lenses.

Bought this lens/kit to go with a brand new Sony A7C I bought at the same time. Based on the features and professional reviews I read, this seemed like a great fit for me. After a few days testing it out on a trip to the Alaskan Arctic, I can?t say enough good things about it. My only real complaint is the 28mm focal length is a bit odd, I wish it was an 18 or 24mm on the wide end. Overall though, it?s such a great lens, very fast, very sharp, and seems really well built. I almost regret buying the otherwise excellent Sony 28-60mm ?kit? lens, although the compact form factor is great for travel. Nice accessories included too, made it a great deal from Adorama!

Great lens. i have paired this lens with my A9. Work flawless .I bit slow in autofocus compared to sony native lens. Nice image quality overhaul. Very versatile focal length.
