Does the job
At times you just want to hang your tripod for storage on a hook, this does the job perfectly.

Keeps from losing tripod screws
After seeing other reviews, I just had to express my use. I have used these for decades and they work perfectly. I use them when traveling with my tripods to keep the tripod head screw (1/4 ") from inadvertently coming loose from the head and getting lost. I use them on all of my tripod heads. Sure a 1/4 x20 nut would work, but the size and the key ring makes it easier to find in my pocket when shooting.

useless to me
Part of a package deal - I will not use it - I can't figure out when it would be useful - I would not have purchased this separately.
I have a ball head on top of my tripod - I am not going to remove the head to "hang" the tripod for storage.
Other users mileage may vary.........
FWIW - the hanger is small and is probably well made for what it is.

Tripod Hanger
The size was too small. It doesn't fit the tripod bought or any of the others that I own. It should have at the very least fit the tripod ordered with it.

Really???
This was shipped as part a "package" for a Gitzo 3541-XLS tripod. That tripod any many others use the common 3/8-16 camera screw rather than the 1/4-20 thread that the #HTP fits.

Little functional value
First, a disclaimer - I got this tripod hanger as part of a much larger "package" which included a tripod and other small accessories (i.e. I didn't purchase it as a stand-alone product).
I see three drawbacks to this hanger: (1) the threads don't fit the standard sized mounting screw on a tripod to which it's supposed to attach; (2) most people probably have no need to store a tripod by hanging it up; (3) to switch between the use of this hanger and a tripod head you would need to unscrew one and screw in the other. Do this often enough and you may damage the threads (on either the tripod screw or the tripod head).
