Questions & Answers

BOB G : Is there any provisions for attaching a tripod?DUANE G : I used a MeFoto travel tripod nested inside. There is no attachment or pocket on the outside. Just returned from 3 week travel with it and very staisfied other than I paid more, Took one body, two lenses and a lot of accessories.JONATHAN D : No tripod attachment on my bag. MITCHEL W : Unfortunately, no way to attach a tripod with the Airport 4-Sight.MICHAEL A : No. no way to attach tripod. No external pockets or ways to attach - everything you need must fit inside.DAVID B : No.JOHN S : This is a small bag with no provisions to attach a tripod. It is small enough it fit in overhead storage of commuter aircraft.JERI L : No. I use a bungee cord.BRUCE I : Not on the outside, maybe inside, depending on how you rearrange the partitions. I don't really think it was meant to carry a tripod however. Great airport bag. Glad I got it!JOAN Y : There is no provision to attach a tripod. I have thought of using a strip of Velcro wrapped around the bag. I have not tried it yet. Velcro is a quick way to attach something (I use it on my other bag to hold my tripod). The zippered closure on the Think Tank Airport 4-Sight bag would be encumbered if the Velcro strip was wrapped around, though....I don't know...I will figure out something. Good luck.ERIC W : The bag is smaller than most cases of this type so there aren't any straps on the outside of the case or pockets to attach a tripod to.BRUCE S : Yes and the bag itself is highly functional, well-made and in so far as a camera bag can be fun to use, it is.ORLANDO T : No, there is no provisions to attached a tripod, but is the perfect size for commuter jets. I hope this helps.ART H : No. There is not. I usually place my tripods and monopods on top of the bag.JACKIE M : Hi Bob, No Tripod holder on the outside. I usually loop the handle of the tripod case over the silver extended handles, although that makes the tripod go crossways and stick out a bit, but it works for easy transport locally. On a plane not so much. Super bag though in all other aspects, the side handle and top, makes it easier to lift in the car trunk or wherever. It's super lightweight and "spins" like a top. Hope that helps.KWOK W : There is no built-in provision for attaching a tripod.JOHN M : Don't buy it from Adorama. They lied on the ad. It was supposed to come with a laptop stand. There is no way to attach a tripod. The wheels are really small and it's not too sturdy when upright.TAM N : No there is no provision for attaching tripod. BIJAY D : No, there is nothing specific to hold tripod with bag but it comes with 3 adjustable strong ties that can be used to tie tripod with extended handle. This bag is very compact.
DAYLE C : does this case have a lap top puch?RAUL E : The bag was purchased for future travel plans and I wanted the ease of the bag on wheels. I double checked the bag and there is no pouch for a computer. You would think that they would have included one. I like my other think tank because it does and it is smaller. I use it to carry light modifiers for my canon flash. I hope this answers your concern.THOMAS C : No it does not have a pouch for any size laptop, sorry.SUE E : There is a place for a laptop in the front pack.CLIFFORD C : No there is no laptop pouch on the think tank airport 4-sight. Think tank sells a separate padded laptop sleeve that fits inside the case right on top of all your gear. Kind of pricey for a laptop sleeve when you can just buy one else where that's thick in padding for cheaper. RALEIGH A : No it does not.BRUCE I : No, but everything else about it is fantastic. I took it on airplane to photograph the southwest. There are a lot of compartments and it is just a great case. Most important, it fits within the airline's regulations for dimensions of the Carry On for an airplane so you have your camera gear in an overhead compartment on the airplane.KEN W : NoABOUD D : I think you mean pouch, right? No it does not. Also note that it is only deep enough for a DSLR without a grip, it is not deep enough for a Nikon D4 or equivalent body.JAY K : There is no dedicated laptop pouch or space in this bagJOHN S : No it will not hold a lap top computer. It only has two small zipper pouches. Big enough for your passport and wallet.STEVEN K : no laptop pouch. also the flap to access your gear is about 3" up from the bottom which covers about half of the bottom compartments as set up form the factory making it hard to access the gear so you basically have to pull the dividers at the bottom to make larger bins. i'll probably get a pelican case to replace thisROBERT T : NO!LALA M : No laptop pouch, no space for laptopCARYN S : No, it does not. A laptop would not fit in this case.
Shopper : Carry on compliant ? I have had issues with other carry on compliant camera bags. Especially on the Embraer RJ145s.Brandon C : don't worry, even my f-stop loka would go with me onboard. in case they still want you to check it, simply tell them it's cameras...they WILL let it go...this is a baby compare to the backpackBen A : From my experience(s), Delta has a problem letting you carry on a .6l water bottle on their fleet of Embraer RJ145s's...LYNN C : I can't speak for the airlines, but this bag is pretty compact, certainly smaller than most fully loaded backpacks. I'd be surprised if you had problems bringing it on an airplane.Michael S : Check out the Lens Smuggler from CineBags. Not only carry-on compliant but in most cases counts as a personal item and not your carry-on. Regional jets need not be a problem anymore.BYRON S : yes to bothBYRON S : yes, it is small enough to go under the seatREMCO T : YesALAN F : They (Delta) wouldn't let me carry it on a CRJ from Bozeman a few months ago.

Think AGAIN

Though this is a slim, easy-rolling bag, the interior padding was light, the zippers were not weather-proof (like Tenba), and the interior space was "maximized" in a way that there was unusable space! I had to put the extra pads (from customizing the interior) in the top and bottom sides of the bag. The customizable interior is also deceiving because you are limited to where the camera bodies can go. After spending almost an entire hour, I finally found a way to fit ONE Nikon D800 camera body (sideways), even though the info states this ThinkTank bag should fit 2 full-frame bodies. Though it has the ThinkTank brand name on it, this bag does NOT seem like a bag made for professionals. The size and limitations and light protection makes this bag better for a casual photographer. Since I am purchasing this as my second roller bag, I don't plan to use it often, and I got it on sale. Thus, I will be keeping it. However, I do NOT recommend this to Pros; only to amateur photographers who have crop sensor cameras.

Amazeballs! Rolls like it's on ice!

My camera gear is like my 4th baby. I want to protect them and carry them around carefully. I have a Tenba Shoot-out, which is a rolling bag that can convert into a backpack. I love that bag for its durability and weatherproof abilities, but it always flips when roll it. After a few years of dealing with this, I decided to go with a bag that maneuvers better. ALAS, I FOUND IT! This Think Tank Airport bag is awesome. It rolls any which way you push or pull it and doesn't flip! It's pretty amazeballs. The only things to note: it's not that large (great for airports and planes though), so if you have a lot of gear, get a different model. Or, if you plan to take your bag to dusty, damp or wet places, this bag is not weatherproof. I love it.

Fantastic Equipment

I was able to obtain this case on Black Friday, so the deal I got was fantastic. When I got the it in the mail, I didn't expect it to be as good as it is, even though think tank has a great reputation. This bag does everything I need it to and is built like a tank. My equipment is kept safe and secure and because it is a roller, it relieves so much strain off my shoulders and back from carrying my usual camera back packs. I am very satisfied with this purchase & the service I got from Adorama.

Basic Roller

This roller is certainly up to Think Tank Photo quality. It is compact but still holds a lot of equipment. D700 with grip, D300 w/o grip, 16-35/4, 24-70/2.6, 70-200/2.8, 70-300/4.5-5.6, 85/1.8, SB800, SB900, extra batteries, small light meter, extra batteries. The middle of the bag is not as deep as the outside to make room for the handle, so if you had two pro bodies, it may not hold as much as lens a the 6" length have to be on the outside to fit for optimal fit. I wish it had a few more outside pocket like their other rollers for more accessories and a pocket for computer (or I would put in a collapsible reflector. The cover has a couple of pockets for filters, gels and etc. Need to fill pockets with relatively thin items. They say you can't put a bag on the handle (or it will fall over) however you can still put on to pull. Lets be honest, I got this bag for $ after rebates and Adorama special discount price. At that price it is a steal.

Happy Camper.

This is a good roller as one would expect. It is along the same level of quality as my LowePro Pro Roller Attache X50 (with the LowePro being slightly heavier duty). The Think Tank has the very cool 4 rollers which would work best for narrow airline aisles but doesn't lend itself as well to placing a second bag on top (since it will tip over due to the 4 roller configuration). The LowePro is lower profile and works better with the second bag on top and has an "oven door" type of open and close compartment (from the front). The Think Tank has the more common "lay back and open the main compartment" to get access to your gear. I actually prefer the LowePro access since I don't have to lay the bag on it's back to access my gear. They both work great, just different styles. For air travel and photo gear, the Think Tank 4-Sight Four Wheel Roller will not disappoint!

Great for Travel

This is a very nice bag for traveling because it can roll just like luggages. Provides many adjustable compartments and can fit as many as 4 lenses in addition to a DSLR, maybe two if you have less number of lenses. As much as I like this bag, I returned mine because it does not fit all my gears and Manfrotto travel tripod.

Great addition to my bag collection

The 4 sight is the perfect option when shooting at locations where the bag can be rolled. It doesn't get better for stowage in overhead airplane compartments. Takes a load off my back, roll the gear instead of load my back. Great bag!

Great Buy

I bought this bag mostly for airline traveling. But, now find that I can fit all of my gear in the bag and it gives me the convenience of keeping everything handy and in one place. It is hard for me to carry the weight of all of my camera gear in a large or backpack type of bag, so I was carrying two smaller bags with me, as well as my tripod. The Think Tank Airport 4-Sight is constructed well and has plenty of padding to protect my gear.

Love it!

I have been in search of the perfect camera bag for travel and I think I've finally found it! I own several backback-style bags that fit in airplane overhead bins, but since they expand, I tend to overstuff, which often causes problems! I often thought that the only thing that would make my backpack-style bag better would be wheels. Enter the Think Tank Airport Wheel Roller bag!. This bag is sturdy with lots of compartments that allow me to carry two bodies, 3-4 lens and a flash---all in my easy to transport bag that actually fits in an overhead bin! I highly recommend it!

Great Camara Bag, plenty of room

I am a wedding photographer and this camera bag is great, holds all my gear and is easy to move around with. So much easier to pull this behind me than to carry a heavy backpack between locations.

Great bag for the city, too...

It's well built and holds a good amount of gear...makes getting around the city - bus, subway, etc a breeze because of the narrow profile and 4 wheels. I pretty much love this thing.

Great bag, not a fix all tho

Love the build of the 4-Sight, real solid. I was hoping for a bag that fit my main gear, Nikon D700 w/grip, D7000 w/grip, holy trinity of Nikon lenses, and a few flashes.. Well not all fit. I went from a backpack to this bag, worth the entry price alone. Never realized what a difference the change would make.

Great bag for my gear.

I don't have to carry several bags any longer when I go on a shoot. I lay the bag down, open it, and go to work. I like the fact that I can arrange the dividers as I need for different equipment. My kit includes a D200 w/70-200 attached, 18-135mm 3.5-5.6, 28mm 3.5,50mm 1.4,105mm 2.5, 2-speedlights, spare aa's, camera battery w/chrgr, umbrella brkts, radio triggers, CF cards, cables. I would recommend this to a friend.

My shoulders, neck, and back thank you!

I received this bag the day after I ordered it, which, by the way, was awesome! I pulled out all of the compartmental walls and started loading my gear into this bag from scratch the night I got it (just in time for a double-header wedding weekend, in fact). I didn't purchase this to transport my equipment, but to store it in daily and bring with me to shoots and weddings. I have 2 camera bodies with grips and lenses attached, 2 additional lenses, 3 flashes, triggers/receivers, extra batteries, memory cards, bungee cords, etc all fitting quite nicely into this bag. It took me, maybe, 45 minutes to figure out just the right order for everything, and I have no doubt that my gear is protected. I even customized a little shelf for my 50 1.8 so that it was easy & quiet to pull it out & put it back in the bag without having to dig it out of the bottom. I do wish the bag was about 1/2" deeper to accommodate the grips (and tripod attachment) already being on my cameras, but I do understand that it has to meet certain standards in order for it to fit the "carry-on" size regulations for bringing it with you on an airplane. The convenience of a rolling bag is saving my body from unnecessary strain (as well as my assistants'). To make it even better, I got it at an amazing deal during an Adorama promo! P.S. The photo I attached was taken with my iPhone right after I finished packing the bag. Sorry it's so blah, but I think you can get the gist of it!

Great bag

I just used this bag on a trip to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. It was perfect for the airport and whe I liked the best was that it fit in the overhead compartment on a smaller jet (~75 passenger). The peace of mind that I had knowing my camera gear was right above me was priceless. Handling it in the airport was a dream too! The only drawbacks I found was that I could not fit all my lenshoods in the bag, I had to pack those separately and it was not setup where I could put a smaller bag on top while rolling.

Great little bag for sure

Only thing that is a bit annoying is that part of the bottom area for storage is hard to get to due to the design of how the zipper cover is placed.

Very compact and smooth rolling bag

Being a full time professional photographer I needed to consolidate two solder camera bags into one kit to cover a destination wedding. I found this domestic and international flight carry on compatible bag at Adorama. It is very compact and rollers are extremely smooth, very helpful to roll in the narrow aisles in airplane. It did not fit in overhead luggage compartment of a small 40 seater jumper plane but it did fit under the seat. My kit consists of Nikon D700 with Sigma 70-200 2.8 lens, D800 with Nikon 24-70 2.8, a spare Nikon 24-120 f4 lens, two Nikon SB910 flashes. I do not use vertical grip to keep cameras light. Kit also includes a camera bracket, batteries, chargers, flash card holder, remote triggers, backup batteries etc. Even though I made most of the above fit, this bag is too tight to accommodate all of above. I ended up adding a small bag outside, making it look like part of main camera bag, to carry less essential components of my kit. Depth of bag is 5" towards handle and deepens to 6" towards bottom. There is groove shaped base or backing inside bag to accommodate telescopic handle which wastes precious space. I have not tried but positive that camera with vertical battery grip will not/or will be difficult to fit. Dividers are limited in shape and sizes, I took lots of dividers out to get most open space. There is no laptop pocket or a big zippered pouch outside. There are two small pouches outside but they are kind of useless. Over all it is a good camera bag but I have to buy something bigger to accomodate my complete kit.

Closest Thing to Perfection

Have been shooting for over 70 years (I'm 84) and have owned a large camera store. This is by far the best quality bag I have come across. I purchased a second one as a gift for my son. I had a dozen various bags at home. Now that I have Think Tank 4 Sight, I donated all the others.

The Think Tank Airport 4-Sight Four Wheel Roller (Black) brings an enhanced, lightweight approach to wheeled photo cases. With its ability to roll on four wheels when on smooth surfaces or two wheels when you're on carpeting, this case is designed to minimize, if not eliminate, stress and fatigue while traveling. As a result of this improved design, Airport 4-Sight homes in on the features that most photographers crave in a rolling case. It's rated to hold two standard size DSLRs with basic lenses attached or two pro sized bodies with smaller lens options. Your 300 mm f/2.8, when attached to a standard body, will fit neatly inside.

It's not only a rolling case but it's configured to roll sideways to accommodate those small hallways you inevitably come up against - or even a crowded airport or parking lot. In addition, the wheels have been placed high on the outside of the case to maximize stability and minimize shock when going up and down stairs or in the street. The three handles make it easy to lift or retrieve from a car or luggage carousel. Its two position locking tow handle gives you the option of choosing the most comfortable pulling angle.

You can also lock the case via the zipper sliders with a user-supplied TSA (Transportation Security Administration) lock. Cable management is provided with the included pouch that can store all those little adapters, cables and other small items. Interior dividers are padded and movable, so that you can configure the guts to meet your gear needs. For access to the bag, a side hinge swings open to retrieve gear. Extras include a top zippered pocket for your boarding pass, passport or other ID and a business card slot for those moments when you make a quick contact. The bottom panel has been reinforced for increased strength and the zippers are all strong YKK design. Bad weather is no problem for the Airport 4-Sight since it comes with a handy rain cover.

It's easier to roll than to carry all that gear and this case makes it even easy. As a bonus, it doesn't look like a photo case and that, in itself, gives it an additional edge over similar sized cases that cry out "photo gear inside."
