As someone who does a lot of astrophotography, I was looking for a tripod that strikes the right balance between weight, stability, and portability. Right out of the box, the build feels solid. The carbon fiber construction makes it extremely lightweight, which is perfect for travel, especially when you're hauling other gear into remote areas. My favorite unexpected features is the cylindrical carrying case. It's sleek and durable, The only issue I've had is with the ballhead. While it's functional for most general use, I've had trouble tightening it to a point where it doesn't move under force. I can still shift it, if I apply enough pressure.

My tripod arrived this week. The tripod box says the load capacity is 11lb/ 5kg. The Adorama website description says 26lbs. Adorama has not responded to my email asking about the discrepancy. It seemed to support my Z8 with 28-400mm lens. I wanted a little more safety margin. On the positive side it is lightweight and folds to easily fit in backpack or carryon luggage. Not sure it I'll keep it or return it.

The 3Pod TREK Series Tripod is very sturdy lightweight and small enough to fit in a backpack. Like the fact it has a detachable leg that can be used as a monopod my equipment feels very secure on it and the Ballhead works great and when attached adds a little extra height when fully extended

The price was very affordable for a carbon fiber tripod. Set it up with my Pentax 645d and it was sturdy and stable.

Sturdy and lightweight. My only minor complaint is the legs have threaded compression adjustments, common type that work securely but are susceptible to dirt and sand getting in the threads under harsh conditions. A better design choice uses a flat paddle tensioner to lock the leg position. I have both types on a pair of tripods I own.

Just received and unboxed it and was completely satisfied with the overall weight. This was my biggest criteria when I was purchasing the Pod. Tri-pod looks nice. My biggest concern is the Arca Ball Head. I will need to use it more to comment on the head but as of right now...it makes me nervous. Just feels weak like it could fall. Maybe once I gain trust with the head it may be fine! So for now I will give it 4 Stars!

A very sturdy tripod. The carbon fiber is smooth, the legs are strong, and it is compact. The tripod also comes with a nice case that is great for carrying it around in tight spaces. One thing that is a minus is that it is a little heavy for a lightweight travel tripod. Overall, it meets most of my needs.

This is not a sturdy tripod. The legs don't open wide enough, the next leg extension brings the legs way to far out. so a strong wind will give you camera shake even using my backpack for weight. Very dissapointed!.

Great light in weight tripod. Seems well made. Preferred snap for leg locks in the past but these rotating ones work well and quickly. Nice pairing for my new gimbal head

Combined with the head rated for 17 lb., I feel safe putting any of my camera equipment on this tripod. Provides sturdy support for the combination of a Nikon D780 and the 80-400mm lens.
