Very happy
Love these headphones. Noise cancelling is the best I have seen (even compared to similar spec Bose etc), easy to use and look great in midnight blue.

Great features
Bought this a month ago due to the student discount, very pleased with how it is but also how quickly it arrived. Noise cancellation is amazing with ambient mode.

Great sound and stylish!
Excellent product, sound is -amazing, I love the noise cancelling and they're also really stylish and comfortable ! I can't comment on the cost as they were a Christmas present, but very pleased with them!!

Faulty ANC
The noise cancelling feature on this thing looks faulty, I have had XM-4 for about 6 months , I bought XM5s beacause my XM4 got water damaged. I can feel the ANC difference between XM4 and XM5. I have just updated driver for this headphone but the ANC is still faulty.

Nightmare
There is an serious issue with hinge. It broke with basic daily usage. I purchased it in May and within 6 months it broke. It was really unbelievable, no accident drop and no harsh usage. I

Good but traps hair
So the reason I upgraded from my WH4 was that this model is not foldable, and I thought it would not trap my hair as the previous one, but somehow it still traps my hair so that's kinda disappointing

Rubbish and third class plastic hinges
I bought it with a very happy heart but I really am very disappointed by the design flaw that results in broken hinge. Despite using it very delicately I still ended up with broken hinge.

Firmware loop/bluetooth lockout
As soon as I these headphones arrived I was advised to download the Sony app which told me I had to update the firmware. I have now been stuck in a faulty firmware loop, with the headphones no longer able to pair over bluetooth. I am getting advice from 3x ai systems to try and unlock the headphones. So I have been unable to use them since I bought them. If I ever mange to get out of this nightmare I'll let you know if these lovely looking headphones actually work well and I'll update my rating!

Hit and miss not good for me
I'm uncertain about these headphones I was expecting so much more for the price
The sound is good
And I like you can set different modes and Allo voice to come through
But in noise cancelling mode I don't feel it cuts out enough noise for me, my old headphones that cost £40 do a better job
And people say they can't hear me when I use them for phone calls,
Hence for the £199 I paid, I am disappointed and was expecting so much more for the price

Do I need a two pronged jack to use these headphones on the Emirates flight to Australia?
My friend said she could not get hers to work using the one prong cord when she flew out last month.
Appreciate a response. Sony are impossible to reach either on email, chat or on the phone.

Warranty does not cover Ripping Headband
Have two MX5's and one MX6. Love the sounds and product overall however, Sony's warranty does not cover the headband which ripped. There was no misuse at all.

HINGE DEFECT. This products was taken care for extremely well for 11 months and broke 10 days before warranty ended. Sony still refused to fix. This is a known issue with the headphones and this company refuses to own up to their mistake and do the right thing.

Top?Tier Sound, No Regrets
The XM5s are honestly the best headphones I've used so far. I went from store to store trying to figure out which pair to buy, but a friend recommended these, and the moment I tried them, they went straight into my cart. The sound quality is unreal, especially the bass and noise cancelling. So cool.
