Works with in-camera External flash settings and with the Yongnuo YN-622C-TX. I have never had a misfire with either of my Canon Rebel T5i or 5DS-R. The only misfires have been actually from flash recycle time and not from the YN622C. When the flash has recycled I have never ever had a misfire. Excellent product.

Absolutely love the ability to use multiple flashes and control them via my Canon 5D mark IV. I had watched a YouTube video that claimed they were not compatible with the mark IV but I have not experienced any problems

I'm using these with 3 580ex's and a 580ex2. I only have a miss fire every other day or so. Controlling the power on the ex flashes is a breeze. Wish I had gotten these sooner.

Although I haven't had a need for maximum range, all other functions I've tried work. The user manual has proven easy to understand. Hooray! No complaints so far. Great value and seems to do everything more expensive ones claim. Buy it!

I am using two different cameras with the YN 622C II transceivers. A Canon 5D Mark II and a Canon 30D camera. The 5D Mark II has a menu for setting up these radio slaves if you have the EX II or the newest 600 EX RT. Other newer models also have this feature. You can also get the Yongnuo flashes which work with these radio slaves. However I have 3 old 580EX flashes. Since I am using these old flashes I cannot use the menu in the 5D to set my flashes. I already knew this when I bought the 4 - YN 622C II transceivers (radio slaves). So after learning what to set my 580's on and everything else I am very well pleased with them. With the 580EX you have to turn off the slave and master switch down by the foot. With it set to slave or master it will not work. You will have to set each flash on the back of each flash into manual mode and adjust the amount of flash power you need. You will also need to set it on High Speed Sync if you want to use this feature of the Canon flashes. This is the way I learned off camera flash so it is not a big deal to me. I set all my flashes on the A group and it worked every time. Since I set each flash manually you do not have to worry about setting a flash into each group. I also have the ST-E2 which does work very well. This emits an infrared signal to your flashes and causes them to fire. The ST-E2 will work with groups, in manual or ETTL ratio or full automatic setting. However it is a line of sight type flash system. If the ST-E2 does not see your flash it will not fire it. The YN 622C II will fire your flash even if it is hidden. I put the flash in one room and went into another room out of sight of the flash. I tripped it with the transceiver and it filled the room with light. This is the way it is supposed to work using a radio signal. Not saying this to talk down to anyone as I had to learn all this on my own by lots of reading. The EX series of flashes will also work with one flash on your camera and one and on up someplace else. It emits an infrared signal itself. The ETTL will not work with the EX series of flashes. But then I do not like the ETTL features anyway. I am one of those who use manual settings when it comes to photography. I like the control I get that way. Be sure to set the YN 622C II transceivers to the 622 setting. The 560 - RX might work but it is recommended for using on the Yongnuo flashes which are reasonably priced. I hope this helped some of you who are trying to find a reasonably priced radio slave. The others are way out of my budget although they will probably work with about any type of flash. I am retired but still have the photography bug and always look forward to taking portraits of people. Be creative!

If you want to have fun, use it. If you want to work try flashpoint.

The new upgraded version of the YN622C II supports YN560-TX/RF605(603 mode)/RF603(II) series products, is equipped with a quick-lock design, and supports USB firmware upgrade. This flash is a high-performance master and slave, capable of multiple-flash photography. Through digital FSK 2.4GHz radio wireless transmission and different photographic effects can be had through setting your flash at any angle. The remote control has a range of 100 meters, and supports 7 wireless channels and A/B/C three groups.
Remotely change the modes and parameters of the flash quickly when using the Canon EOS series DSLR cameras, which supports external flash function, such as TTL ratio, or manually change the flash output. This unit supports high-speed sync; the max sync speed is 1/8000s. Supports E-TTL, Manual and Multi flash modes. Supports E-TTL flash installing on the top of the transmitter.
