These are good solid hard drives. I love the fact you dont need any power to run them. I own about 10 of these.

IT DOES THE JOB.

I use this drive as a secondary/redundant time machine backup drive. It mirrors my other/current 500GB Iomega drive. Besides running hot, it does the job well. Runs very quiet, I hardly notice it at times. I would give it five stars, but for me the "running hot" issue is a concern to me.
