Worth the money
My husband Manfrotto was bent in a rear end collision. I was planning to replace it with something durable and to his liking. Luckily the product far exceeded my expectation. He used it on several occasions and he said it held up his professional camera and gear. He felt secure using the tripod and said he was happy with his gift.

Excellent kit for the money
Sturdy tripod, easy to set up and break down. Combo spikes, well designed locks, compact enough to always keep in the trunk of my car. The 264-AT ballhead itself is fine - smooth movement, stays in position when it is tightened up with any of control knobs. But there is a catch. QR clamp is Vanguard proprietary, and replacing it with Arca-Swiss clamp turned out a bit more difficult than I thought mostly because top of the stem has alignment notches instead of bars as it was on another older Vanguard head I own. Luckily I got a heavily discounted Wimberley C-12 clamp and it worked just fine.

I like the quick release plate. The tripod is sturdy and soiled. I feel it is a great tripod for the price. The carrying bag is an added bonus.

My 3rd Vanguard Tripod
My Alta+ is still in perfect condition but I bought this one for the MACC. I wish it had the stop like the newer ones that keep you pulling the CC all the way out but on those, you lose the padding on 2 of the 3 legs AND most importantly the orange QR release that keeps your camera from tipping out of the QR plate until the button is pressed.I like the ball head. I like that you can have padded rubber or spiked feet just by turning the bottom. I like the hook on the CC. I really like that the CC can go so low to the ground for macro. I recently discovered I like the clip leg locks a little better than a twist. It weights a lttle more than my old one so this one will probably stay at home.

I've had other Vanguard tripods. This one works perfectly for me. I really like the clasps that help to adjust the appropriate height.

Great for Macro
I bought this contraption to use w/ macro rails. It allows me to get down to the level of the bugs and stuff that I find interesting. Files too big to post initial results.

Quality tripod
I recommend this tripod as it is very sturdy and easy to manipulate. It is well put together and will hold up for a long time. I like the fact that it has balancing knobs so I know when everything is level. This is my first tripod and I am pleased with the quality.

Broken leg
The second time I went to use this product one of the legs fully separated and it will no longer lock in place. It is totally useless. If I could give zero stars I would do so.

Vanguard 264 Tripod
The tripod works well to stabilize the camera. The ballhead comes in handy when working on angles or uneven ground. It was bigger than I expected, but it is durable field work. I highly recommend the tripod.

Incredible Quality for the "cheapest" of good tripods
I recently upgraded tripods. My old one was a cheap plastic one that did it's job the few times I really needed it to, but didn't last a move, and a few more rigorous situations.
I researched a TON for a good tripod that wouldn't break the bank, but was made of cheap plastic. I stumbled upon this one with good reviews.
Stop reading now, and buy it!! It's so great! It's good a good weight to it to really re-assure the build quality, the aluminum seems very durable. Really convenient leg operating options; the ball head is perfect and it comes with an extra mountain plate for your second camera which is super dope!
I'm officially a fan of this vanguard stand.

Vanguard 264AB-100 is a Great Product.
I have been looking to replace a very basic tripod that I've used for over ten years. The Vanguard 264AB-100 fit my needs perfectly. It's very versatile, positioning, height, leveling on uneven surfaces, etc. I like the carrying bag that's included with purchase.

Quality build and very versatile!!!
I have the aluminum body and I am very pleased with everything about it. Everything feels solid and secure, and the leg locks seem strong. Everything is very easy to move around, all the adjustments and levers are fluid. I like the weight of the head and the engineering of the parts, as they are adjustable using an allen wrench. The weight seems heavy, but I don't know how to compare it to other heavy-duty tripods. Definitely not a backpacker though. I think you will be very pleased.

Best tripod I've ever owned!
This tripod is the real deal! I love this so much it's so versatile and easy to use. The options are wonderful with all the different angles you can set up with. Takes seconds to get familiar with its just an over all win win I have zero complaints!!

Solid product
Got it on sale at 120 w/ 40 MIR. Great solid product with a smooth rotating ball head. I just wish the quick shoe plate didn't require a tool to fasten. Other than that, a solid tri-pod :)

Great tripod
Great tripod. Sturdy, quality construction, and easy to use. Holds my canon t6 no problem even with accessories attached so I have no doubt it'll handle most other cameras no problem as well. Only gripe i have is that it's a bit on the heavy side but that's to be expected at the price point and the quality of the components. Definitely buy again.

Top notch tripod at a great price
