The first thing I did after opening the box was remove the one that came with the tripod and try this one on for size. It fit perfectly! I'll probably get a couple more in event one grows legs of its own or I break down a buy another camera. Aloha

The quick release plate is perfection at it's best for those who appreciate a soft surface mating with their camera, but with fantastic holding power at the same time. The connecting turn dial below is easily accessible to use to connect the plate to your camera base. The surface is slightly larger which give more stability to your camera while shooting, and we all know how important steadiness is when capturing those great shots. I highly suggest this quick release mounting plate! It's the TOP of the line!

this is the third release i have had over the years. they are easy to use & make changing cameras easy. i am pleased that they have remained in the market so long- no planned obsolescence here.

Found a old Ambico tripod at a thift store that I use mainly for when I'm hiking. It fits, and it works fine. So far its held up through rough cond's.

Even though this quick release platform is primarily plastic, it has a solid feel to it. The bottom screw is easy to grip and attaches to the camera or lens quite nicely.

I use this plate in a tripod that has not been made for some time now. It fits like it was made for it. If not for finding this part, I would have had to buy a new tripod, this saved me time and money !

The base was too large, I had to shave it down around the edges about a 1/4 inch but I got it to fit and it works okay.

If you have several cameras and binocs/telescopes, consider buying one for each; otherwise, you may be remounting (screwing, unscrewing cameras) the quick release over and over again.
