ROGER Y : I have a Nikon D5000 and SB600 flash. I also own 285 that I'd like to use at the same time. there a cord I can buy to make the 285 sync with the sb600?FARREL F : don't know about a cord--I use an optical slaveTONY I : To: Roger, Try the Wein Hot shoe slave adapter, it is a wireless way to trigger the second flash. Adorama sku is WHNSX or mfr #940040.
I could not find a pc cord in Nikon nor Vivitar Flash accessories.

ephrem e : Is this flash compatible safely with a Canon 50D please ? thxFARREL F : Yes--It has a low voltage trigger circuit. I use mine on an olympus 420, but it wont work consistantly on auto-set aperture manually.

FarrelAMY C : I would think it would be fine, however, you might want to do more research. I use it with a Nikon D90 without problems. Sorry this probably doesn't really answer your question.

Just remember no ttl info from camera. You'll have to manually set flash.PHILIP S : Not sure of the official answer (I'd spend some time googling to be sure), but I did use my vivitar with my 50D when I had it and never had a problem
