Shopper : why do you have to remove battery cover to put battery grip on ??CHRISTENE J : I bought this as a gift for a friend, I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your question. But in order for the battery grip to work, you have to attach it to the camera, and if you don't take the cover off, it won't fit.SHAYA T : Yes.
