"Swivels, pitches and yaws". Those were the terminologies used by the person writing the FIRST review. With all the positive comments written (like maximum height and how small it folds etc) and being the "original" review, spoken like a true employee of Adorama or Vivitar. Great job promoting your product. On another note, for all the people complaining about how flimsy this tripod is, and would not put an expensive or heavy camera on this tripod, what the heck do you expect for a tripod costing less than $10? You searched for "the cheapest tripod", right? For what it is designed to be, it is a great little tripod. Yes, would rec it for phones and point and shoots.

VERY light weight, but works. No geared fine adjustments, just plastic set-screws. But Fortuna price makes a serviceable stand, especially for a light, or diffuser, or reflector, or a shade. Not recommendes for outside, or breezy conditions.

Light weight & compact. Completely adaptable and easy positioning . Delicate components not meant for heavy telephoto lenses or rough manipulation. Have owned for a few weeks and used for tennis videos and for friend/family pictures (better than selfies). I was also influenced by the brand name with the belief that a reputation will be upheld.

I just purchased this tripod last week. It is the perfect tripod, if you are looking to use it with your phone or a light weight camera. I wouldn’t recommend it for large camera. i use an SLR this tripod is not made for that. the legs are way too flimsy...this is made for a small point and sheet camera

Not a great tripod but since it's so inexpensive the bar is set low. Some of the knobs have extra plastic flashing on them so they won't seat, I'll have to clip the plastic off for it to work. On the other hand, for the few dollars this cost, it is more stable than expected. I wouldn't use this for a DSLR with a heavy lens but for a small camcorder it is great.

I'm an **amateur** photo-/videographer. I've used this for a Sony HDRCX220 for photos and videos so far. First, the shop: shipping was very inexpensive and very fast. I received it within 3 days. The price could not be beat - and I looked everywhere, so buy this tripod here! The tripod is AWESOME and I love it! It's very very small, very light, and very inexpensive, but - and I tried this out in person in shops - it's the most versatile one I could find, regardless of price! I've compared several in the stores, and this one can grow taller and shrink shorter than any of its much higher priced competitors - it comes up to almost 5 feet high and breaks down to fit into a big hobo-bag-purse easily! The footprint is (I haven't measured exactly) only about 2.5 feet at the most, so it can go almost anywhere with you. The quick release plate is small enough that I actually just leave it on my (video) camera sometimes when I'm not on the tripod. It doesn't get in my way. It has a level on it if you need precision, and it's very easy to put on and take off, even with the camera already attached. The head swivels, pitches, and yaws just like anything you'd expect - I haven't found an angle it can't handle yet. Everything locks quite securely and you can trust it not to slip. It's really lightweight, but I wouldn't call it flimsy. YES, you could bend the legs if you tripped hard or tried to bend them on purpose, but you will probably never damage it on accident with normal use. I would definitely trust it to hold more than its stated 2.5lbs capacity, but probably only twice that. I don't know if I'd put a 1500$ camera on it, though. All in all this thing is fantastic for the price and very versatile. Unless your livelihood depends on your tripod, I would not recommend paying a dime more. This is a great little tripod.
