This system is expensive, but it is very stable. I love it.

Quality, but expensive

I like this plate because it secures well to the camera, operates with most quick-release systems, and doesn't cover key areas of the camera such as the battery chamber.  I usually leave this plate on the camera at all times, even when not using the tripod, because it is lightweight and isn't in my way.
